A look at the industry statistics of how many people join home based businesses

Many people dream of working from home and the funny thing is that most of those people think that working from home is the best thing that can happen. The reason for this is that home based businesses have so many appeals to people. Basically what this means is that many people are drawn to home based businesses for some of the same reasons. But what they might not realize is that these same appeals can actually become a set back when it comes to running a home based business. This is one of the reasons that only 85% of the people who actually join a home based business succeed rather than 100%.

Despite the fact that only 85% of the people who join a home based business succeed, in the past fourteen years there has been an increased interest in home based business opportunities. In fact the number of home based businesses has grown from 6 million to 32 million in the past few years and it doesn't look like it is going to slow down anytime soon, what this basically means is that everyday there are new home based businesses opening up, in fact about 8,493 home based businesses open up everyday. And because of the increase in home based business this means that more people are joining home based businesses each year despite the fact that not all of them will succeed. But something that you should take a look at before you go and decide to join a home based business is some of the industry statistics including how many people join a home based business each year, whether it is full time or part time.

But something that you need to keep in mind is that the 85% actually represents all home based business, the statistics are a lot different if you break down the home based businesses by the type of business. For example if you belong to a MLM the success rate is actually only 5%. But something else that you need to keep in mind is that despite the statistics showing an 85% success rate this actually only applies to the first three months of running a home based business. Many people give up after three months because they find out how hard it is to run a home based business and how much work is actually involved. But regardless of how many people succeed there are still a number of people who join a home based business each year.

Here is a look at some of the industry statistics of how many people have joined a home based business each year.
Every year the MLM industry has been increasing and on the average the MLM industry will see an increase of around 600,000 people each year.
While most people who decide to join an MLM actually decide to work from home on a full time basis there are still plenty of people who decide to just supplement their income, which means they take on the MLM as a part time job rather than working full time. The amount of people who are actually working from home part time is around 23 million people, while the amount of people who are working from home on a full time basis is around 14 million people. The reason for this is that more people want to supplement their income rather than replacing their current income because many people feel that MLM jobs might not be as stable as working for another company.
Something else that we need to keep in mind is that by the end of the next decade over 46% of the people in the world will actually be working from home and the best news is that their success rate is actually over 85%.
