 It is nice to be home with the family

Here are the cons to having your own home-based business.

 Lack of security, especially in the beginning
 No large business benefits like 401K or Insurance. (There are small business organizations you can join to get around this)
 People think you are home, so can ask more favors
 The work space you have may not be as big as you want it
 It can be difficult to get the time you need to get the work done with family around
 If you need to travel, the expense is on you
 Getting started may be hard as far as funding, advertising and the customers base you need
 You are the one that the company will rely on to get your art out there for the public to see what you have available.

After you have considered these factors it is up to you to decide if a home business is right for you. However, for the most part many people who venture into running their own home business, art or otherwise generally find they love the freedoms that they received.

When you consider all of the benefits of running your own home business you can find that it is no wonder so many Americans are working from their homes. Art is a great way to bring in money through a home business.

The main thing to keep in mind is that in order for your home business to be successful, you will need to get enough recognition of your art to make sure the public knows what you have to offer.

Because using art as a home business has great potential regardless of the pros and cons, as long as you get the money coming in from enough business.
