Ask anyone who has ever run a home based business and they will tell you how much they love the flexibility and convenience, and how having no or low overhead is saving their bottom line, but that sometimes they consider trading it for a 9-5 just so that they can get off work every now and then. When you run a home based small business, it is critical that you don't allow your work to take over your life as a whole.

Set your priorities- When you work from your home, running a small home business, it can be easy to let work overrun your life, and become your top priority ALL the time. It is important as you figure out how to come home from work occasionally, that you set your priorities. If your spouse is a priority, then make date nights part of your schedule. If your children are a priority, then find somewhere in each day to put your work aside and spend quality time with them. Without defining your priorities it is really easy to let working take over.

Give yourself a break-It is really important when you work from home that you actually work, especially if you are prone to procrastination, etc. However, it is equally important that you learn to take a break. If you do, when you focus on work, you will be fully committed to it, and instead of not doing your job or your house duties well, you will do both well. A great way to make sure you get to work from home, but also come home from work, is to schedule work hours where you do not let cleaning, family members, television, etc. distract you. But then also set relaxation hours, where you don't work, but rather spend time with your family and for yourself.

Work on time management-Many times, when someone tries to have a work from home or home based business, they become poor time managers. They sit down at the computer to update their website, or send off a work email, and end up spending hours surfing the internet and not really getting anything useful done. It is a good idea to always have a task list for your work, and a separate one for your home life, and to keep them in mind so that the hours you do dedicate to work are spent working, and the ones you dedicate to family and home are spent on family and home.

Eliminate distraction so time spent working is spent efficiently- This goes hand in hand with the above tip, but if you want to be able to come home from work, and have time off, it is important that you not try and work and play at the same time. Rather, eliminate distractions, and focus on one thing at a time so that you do it well.

Have family time and you time each day. If not, you will soon feel overwhelmed and something will be sacrificed as a result.

Many people worry that their home is not an appropriate place to meet with clients and potential clients if they run a small home business. However, these days more and more people are using home offices over the traditional commercial or retail spaces as they offer many advantages such as lower overhead, and no contracts, which means expansion is easier, and operating costs are lower, making it easier to survive in a tough economy. However, if you are going to meet a client in your home office, it is important to do the following:

Travel through as little of your home as possible- It will seem very unprofessional if you travel through your entire home to get to the home office to have the meeting. Many people try and set up their home office near the front door. This means that you don't have to clean your whole home top to bottom to have a meeting. Instead, you can keep your foyer or front area cleaned up. Not only does traveling through less of the house help reduce your work, it also helps to cut down the impact that your home based business has on your home life.

Have a professional atmosphere- It is a good idea to try and cut down the amount on non-work related things that are around the areas where you will be holding your small business meetings and client contact. If you have a basket of laundry in sight, or a sink full of dishes, it won't look very professional. So, try to make sure that anywhere you go in your home to meet with clients is situated in a way to maintain as a professional an atmosphere as possible. Clear clutter, reduce the interruptions, and dress the part.

Eliminate interruptions from children, family members, and non-business related things- Running your business from your home is going to help you cut costs, but if you lose sales as a result it is not going to be very good. So, make sure that when you hold meetings, or entertain clients that you have children out of the home, or tended away from the meeting so that they feel like you are maintaining a professional appearance. Just because you work from home does not mean you have to act unprofessional.

It can be really hard to maintain a professional atmosphere when you work from home if you do not try and make it a professional. It is nice to be able to wear pajamas and do your own thing, but when you need to make a professional impact, your home can be used for it, as long as you set the right mood and work hard to make it look and feel like a professional office, despite the fact that it is in the home.

The saying that it takes money to make money is often true, but the question is, how much money should you spend on a home based business before you have spent too much? In other words, where do you cap off your spending so that you are not hemorrhaging money. Often times businesses will make some money in the beginning, not enough to cover their operating expenses, but enough to give hope that they soon will. So, when running a home based business, it is important to determine just how much you will put into the business before you pull the plug on the idea if it is not generating as much as it is costing. Here are a few things to consider when thinking about the costs of a home based business:

How much money will you need to pay your home based business bills until the money starts coming in from your home business? In other words, what are your day to day operating costs going to be? What can you do to lower them or offset them until your business is earning enough to pay for them itself?

Will you be keeping your full-time job or will someone else in your family be bringing in money to support your business expenses and other expenses until you have revenue coming in?

What are your upfront costs going to be, and how much product or service will you need to sell before you break even?

Where will you get the money for your initial outlay for your business? Where will you get the money to cover the expenses of your business while you wait for it to support itself and earn additional money.

Who will get the benefits of your company when it starts to make money? What will the split be, who are the investors and how will they be compensated?

What options have you considered for funding? What are you willing to risk for your home business? Are you willing to use your home equity, or something else as equity for your business? Have you considered using an SBA loan, or another loan created specifically for new businesses? Is there any way for you to get a grant or any other "free" money to start up your business? Will it be doing anything to help the environment or community so you can get some funding from the government for it?

Knowing these answers will help you decide whether or not you have the money to take care of your business, and start it without putting your family, and your life at risk. So, work the numbers, and know what you need to do to make your business successful and not lose your shirt in the process of trying to become an independent business owner.

Low overhead: When you run a business out of your home, you are able to significantly reduce the overhead costs. You are not paying for rents, or set up fees for internet, telephone, etc.

You may choose to install specific lines for your business, but all in all, the cost of running a business out of your home is significantly less. This means greater flexibility in pricing, and high profits that can be generated. However, those profits can be compromised if you allow running your business from home to compromise the professionalism you offer customers.

No commute: The next benefits of running your business from home is the absolute lack of commute. It often results in more productive work days because you do not waste hours on driving to and from work. This means more time to spend with family, and less need to get ready in the morning, etc. However, it can also lead to lost revenue if you allow yourself to be distracted by the fact that you are at home. You need to focus on running your business during business hours, and worry about your home, family, etc. during other hours.

Flexibility: When you run a business from home, you have flexibility. You can adjust hours to meet obligations like parent-teacher conferences, or to sleep in if you end up with a late night. Of course, this can lead to problems, where you take advantage of the flexibility, and turn it into an excuse to procrastinate, not do, or be lazy about your work.

Ability to expand: Sometimes the problems people run into with expansion have a lot to do with things like being stuck in contracts in their commercial space that no longer suits their needs. Etc. When you work from home, if you need to expand, it becomes a matter of doing the leg work to do so. You are not tied down in a contract, or required to do certain things to get a deposit back, etc. Instead, you have the freedom to explore your options.

Running a home business is full of advantages, however it can lead to problems as well. Home businesses can be fantastic. Of course if you choose this route, it is imperative that you learn how to set your hours and stay motivated to work, and not be distracted by other things in and around your home, as well as not let work take over your home life. Striking a balance between work and home life is a critical part of letting the benefits stay benefits without having an equally long list of drawbacks, such as never coming home from work, or frustrating your family because of your work taking over the family time and life. Prioritize and organize, and running your business from home will be a great success.

The question is, where should your home office be located in your home, and what should it contain? The following questions will help you find the perfect location for your home office.

What is your family life like? If you have a busy family that is constantly in and out, dropping clothes, shoes, bags, etc. and making a lot of noise in the main living areas of your home, it might be best to put your home office away from all of that, in a basement, or upstairs where there is less traffic, and somewhere it will be easier for you to focus on your work, rather than be constantly distracted by your home.

Where does your family spend most of their time? If you are a mom running a home based business, and you will doing double duty, caring for your children during the day while also working, it might be wise to put your home based business office near the action so that you can see and hear what is going on, while still having your space to work and focus on your business. Of course, the same argument could be made for having it separate so that you are not distracted. Determine for yourself what your personal situation requires.

What needs do you have for a home office? Do you need access to the outside? Do you need storage space for inventory? Do you need internet capability? Do you need to entertain clients or meet with potential clients in the space? All of these questions will play a role in where your office space is located. For example, if you have a walk out basement with a separate entrance, it might be smart to put your office in the basement. If you need a lot of storage, having it adjacent to the garage, or in a bedroom with a large closet may be the best move. If you are entertaining a lot of clients, having it near the front door so that they do not have to walk through your home to get to your office might be best. Consider your needs, and determine the location accordingly.

Where your home office is, and what it contains will depend significantly on how professional your home office needs to appear, versus how functional it needs to be. For someone with regular meetings, an office with a seating area and windows is a must, for someone who runs an online retail store, an office with storage space for product is a must. Figure out your list of needs, and choose the most suitable location in your home to set it up. This might mean over looking the yard so you can keep an eye on children while working, or it might mean in the front parlor.
It can be difficult to work from home because you technically never leave work. It may hover over your head, and you may be unable to enjoy your time at home because you can't stop thinking about everything you should be doing. However, if you can set some boundaries, working a home based business can be very rewarding, and provide you with all kinds of positive things, such as flexibility, and low overhead.

The following are some tips for what to do when working at home seems to be taking over your life:

First, remember that when you work a "regular" job you have normal days of the week that you work, and normal hours. So, try to implement that same concept into your home based business work week. Take at least one or two days off a week to do things that are not work related. If weekends are busy for your home based business, then don't take weekends off, instead take a couple days midweek, or choose a day that you won't work, and will enjoy your life, your home, your family, etc. without work weighing you down.

Next, have family time daily-When you work from home, it is easy for other members of your family to feel unimportant, or as though you are choosing work over their needs. So, in order to combat these feelings, and not let work take over you life, or your family's lives, take time each day to spend with family, and bond. It will strengthen your family, and help you to better focus on your business when you are working.

Next, set work hours, and stick to them- This is similar to the fist thing you want to do, but the idea is that you want to make sure that you are not trying to cram too much into your schedule, especially if you really do not have time to fit anything extra in. So, determine how many hours need to be worked that week, and look at your schedule and determine what you are going to do to ensure that you have time for your work and your family. This may mean making sacrifices like getting up early to work before your children wake, or staying up later than them to work after they are in bed. It might mean working fewer hours on the busy family days, and long hours on other days. Regardless of how you get your hours in, it is important that you do so.

Don't put too much on your plate- If you have to work 40 hours a week, don't volunteer to be room mom as well. It would be nice, but someone else can do it, freeing up time for you to spend with your child, instead of planning parties for 20 other kids.
There are those that see it as being filled with perks, and almost no drawbacks. They envision days spent lounging in pajama pants, and playing with kids, or never missing a game, television show etc. Then there are those who think running a home based business means having your business run your life. They see it as never leaving work, having it affect the whole family negatively, etc. The realities of running a home based business lie somewhere in the middle. Let's take a look at some of the pros and cons:

Pros:
Flexibility- There is a lot of flexibility when running a home based business. If you need a day off for a significant event, or because you are sick, you can take one. If you sleep in, you can just work later. If you want a day off midweek rather than on the weekend, that is possible, etc. You can often wear pajamas to work, or adjust your schedule around things like your television shows. Home based businesses do offer flexibility you do not find in a traditional office or business.
Low overhead- Home based businesses offer you greater market potential because you can keep overhead low, which leads to the ability to offer lower, or more competitive prices. It also means greater profit margins. This is a great thing, as you eliminate many expenses such as rent.
No commute- Another big benefit of a home based business is the lack of commute. It results in you being able to spend more time with your family, and be more productive with your hours. It results in less wear and tear on your vehicle, and no frustrating rush hour traffic.

Cons:
Often interferes with home life- When you work from home it can be difficult to shut it off and focus on your family. It is easy to slip into work mode, and change the subjects to work, or enlist family to help when you should be spending quality-bonding time together, etc. Sometimes working from home means letting work take over your home.
Time management can become an issue- Many people who work from home take advantage of flexibility and turn it into procrastination and poor time management. Without someone breathing down your neck, and keeping you on task, will you stay on task?
Others take advantage of you- Sometimes people hear the words "home based" and forget all about "business". In other words, they often assume that you are not busy, or have nothing better to do than watch their children, run their errands, or help them out in other ways. It is good to do service, but often people take advantage of those who run home based businesses.

Running a business from home is an art. It is a skill that some people have, or develop, and others simply do not. It is not a simple matter of taking your business and running it out of your home. You have to set priorities, find ways to balance your work and home life, stay motivated to work, and keep others from taking advantage of you being home.

Maintain balance between work and home life. The hardest part of running a home based business is maintaining a balance between work life and home life. Often, work takes over your life, or your home life does. One aspect or the other suffer, or both do. So, the goal is to make sure that you can help both be great. If you want to maintain balance, it is important to do the following:

1. Work regular hours, even if they are at irregular times. If you want to balance home life and work life you have to make sure that you do not spend time that should be spent running your home based business playing with your family, watching television, etc. On the flip side, you want to make sure that you do not spend your family time working, otherwise it may damage the relationships you have, and hurt your home life to the point that you feel stressed because you feel like you are always at work.

2. Schedule in "quiet time" for business calls, client meetings, etc. One of the drawbacks to running a business out of your home is that it is going to seem far from professional if you make a business call and have a child crying in the background, etc. So, the best way tot run a business out of your home properly is to set up specific times when there will not be any interruptions so that you can conduct business properly.

3. Make your business, yourself, and your family priorities. The art of successfully running a business out of your home is knowing how much time to dedicate to each aspect of your life. You will want to make sure that you spend time on you each day so that you never have to feel run down, or like you have neglected yourself and your life. You need to make your family a priority as well. When you work out of your home, families have a tendency of feeling left out and neglected. They often feel second fiddle to the business. Your job is to make sure they don't feel that way. Additionally, you can't let work get left behind either.

4. Help others understand that just because you work from home doesn't mean you can do them favors. You have a real job, and are required to put in time working, so watching their children, running their errands, etc. won't due during the time you need to be working.

Some home based businesses are virtually free, or at least really low cost to start. However, others take inventory, equipment, a website, the cost of fees to incorporate or license, etc. The point is, it is important to understand how much money your business is going to take to start up, so you can determine if you have the money it takes to have a start up, or if you need investors, etc.

In order to calculate your startup costs, or the money to get your business off the ground, consider making a set of estimates based on the following questions:

First and foremost, what do you need to do to start your home based business legally? Will you need to hire specialists, like a lawyer or an accountant? Will you need to pay some to write your letters of incorporation? Basically, if you are going to make money, what money do you need to spend to do it legally, and make sure your taxes are being paid, etc.?

Second, will you need to buy anything to set up your office, or to produce your product or service? In other words, do you need office furniture or equipment? If you do, that should be considered, as it will be a requirement for a professional looking environment, and to make what you need. How many employees will you have? How much office furniture or equipment will you need?

Third, what supplies will you need on hand to get going? In other words, if you are going to sell something online, you need to have the stuff you are selling. You will also need shipping and packaging items. You have to have certain things available to you on the day you start your business, and those things are going to cost money. So, how much stuff do you need, and how much will it cost you?

Fourth, what will you need to do to lower costs? Start up costs can start to get overwhelming. Often people looking to start a home business do not account for all the little things that it takes to start up, and those little things can really begin to add up, and will, eventually, cost them a lot of money. So, how can you lower the costs so that you can enjoy the freedom and empowerment that comes with running a home business?

After you make estimates it is wise to take the time to determine how much work you need to do, how many items you need to sell, or services you need to provide to break even. Often the best home based businesses are the ones that have such low overhead that even a few jobs can cover your expenses and get you on the path to a steady income flow that is profit.

Step one: Determine the number of hours you want to work each week. When you work in a home based business, your hours may be more flexible than if you work for someone else. So, it is important to determine off the bat how many hours you intend to put in for the week. One of the things with working out of your home is that there will be some weeks where you work fewer hours, and other weeks where you have to work longer hours. At the beginning of each week, look at your work load, or goals for the week, and estimate the time commitment that it will take.

Step two: Take a look at your commitments (family and outside of work) for the week. The next thing you are going to do is take out your calendar and fill in the times that are already committed. The idea here is to take the number of hours you need to work, and fit them in around the other commitments you have, and still leave time for eating, sleeping, and spending time with your family. So, what else do you have to do this week? Do you need to grocery shop? Are you committed to attend any functions? Do you have to go to your child's school for anything, or do anything with your church? Block out the time that you have already committed. This might be watching a child's game or performance, or going out with friends or family.

Step three: Take a look at your other family member's commitments. Now, you want to see if there are any members of your family that have made commitments that will affect you. For example, you don't want to plan to make business calls at the same time your son has band practice in your garage. So, block out time where your family or their commitments will make it difficult or impossible for you to work.

Step four: Commit to "Office Hours". Now you have a good idea of what your family has going on, what you have going on, and how much time you need to accomplish your goals, so set aside your work or office hours for the week. Let the family know what they are so that they know not to bug you during, or ask you for favors when you need to be working.

Step five: Have a back up plan for when your "office hours" don't work out. Schedule babysitting, etc. ahead of time so that you do not have to scramble later. Always give yourself a few extra hours planned in case things take longer than you anticipate, or something comes up.

When you decide you are going to run a home based business, it is a huge commitment, and something that the whole family should be part of, as it will require sacrifices and help from the whole family. It is impossible to have something in your home that does not affect your whole family. Thus, in order to prepare your family for a home based business, consider the following:

Time commitment- The first thing you need to discuss when preparing your family for a home based business is the time commitment it takes. Kids can't be asking parents to do things for them during business hours, just because they are home. Parents can't expect kids to give up their lives either to make room for business things, or fulfill orders, etc.

Interruptions- If you are going to work at home, or have a home based business, it is really important for your family to understand that interruptions are going to affect the bottom line, which means that it could affect their lifestyle. Having a family discussion about the behavior you expect from them and explaining that interruptions are not acceptable. If you are on the phone with a client, and a child comes in, and starts whining, or a teenagers blasts their music in the background, or distracts you asking for car keys, or a spouse asks for something, then your home based business will not last long because you will not be able to present a very professional front. So, when preparing your family for a home based business, a thorough discussion about interruptions is a must.

Family time versus work time- When preparing your family for a home based business, you need to sit down and figure out with your family how you are going to balance work and family. Discuss with your family the time that will be devoted to the home based business, and the time that will be devoted to your family, spending time with one another and enjoying family bonding.

How the family is expected to contribute or help- Last, but not least, it is important to discuss how the family is expected to contribute or help with the home based business. They may be expected to help keep the home clean so that client meetings can be done in a clean environment. Or, they may be expected to answer phones, or just stay out of the way. However, if you do not sit down and discuss the family responsibilities associated with home based businesses, you can't expect anything.

If you prepare your family for a home based business, it will be much more likely to be successful, and not put undue stress on your family. A home based business requires commitment from the whole family to not negatively influence your family's life.

Running a business out of your home is an important undertaking. It requires more than just an idea for a business. It requires commitment, family discussion, and of course, a home set up to properly handle the business. Here are a few suggestions for determining if your home, as it is right now, can handle the necessary requirements to run your business. Ask yourself the following questions, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure your home is properly prepared for a home based business:

Will you need space in your home for your business that you do not have available currently? The space may be for something like inventory, supplies, records, equipment, etc. If you are going to be making something, how much room does the equipment take? If you are selling a product, where will you store the inventory? You have to decide if your home has the needed space to handle the expected volume, or whether or not you are going to use a drop shipper, etc.

Do you already have an area you can use for your office? You may have a home office, but what activities are going on it that room that will need to be moved somewhere else in order for it to be solely used for your home based business? Are kids using the desk space to do homework, or the printer for school assignments? Does your wife curl up in the office chair to read a good book, or make her grocery shopping lists in there?

Do you sell products that require any sort of special conditions? For example, if you are going to start an at home florist shop, you may need extra fridge space to keep flowers cool, and prolong their life. Will you need a sound proof room for your new business, or some sort of water or power source that does not currently exist? If you want to cut hair or offer beauty services out of your home, you may need to install a sink, mirrors, etc. So, consider what extra things you need to put in your home, or how you can use existing fixtures without displacing your family too much.

One of the most important things to remember is that you may have a wonderful idea for a home based business, and it the business plan may work well in your home, but you need to consider all the ways it will impact your home life, and whether or not your home really does have the space and other requirements to fill your needs. You may need to finish a basement, convert a shed, or enclose a patio to make your home based business work for real. So, consider the cost versus the benefit.
However, if you run a home based business, marketing is going to be key to your success. The following is a look at some of the marketing strategies you should consider:

Face-to-face Sales-When you run a home based business, you can directly solicit businesses by cold calling or by in-person sales pitches. You should consider who needs your product, and track them down and ask them in person to give you a try.

Flyers, business cards, brochures- Often, one of the best things you can do to market a small business is distribute brochures, flyers and business cards to your contacts and potential clients. The more you distribute, the more you get your name out there.

Networking- networking can be a great way to market a small home business. You should have a great working relationship with locals who will be able to provide you with referrals each year.

Newspaper and Classified Advertisements- You should place ads in several local newspapers within your target market area. This is a great place to advertise as many people read the classifieds.

Advertisements-It is important to advertise in the right places and with the right people to target your local area. Local papers, magazines, and the like will help you gain recognition in your local area.

Website- Every home based business should have an up to date and professionally maintained website. Your website should allow prospective customers to see your products and services and find your location. It should be easy to use, and intuitive.

Social Media- With the advent of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and the likes, it is incredibly important for all businesses, especially home based businesses to have a comprehensive campaign to market themselves through these channels.

Word of Mouth- This is huge for home based businesses. Your reputation with our existing clientele will bring in many new customers through word-of-mouth referrals if you can maintain customer service, and quality products.

Search Engine Optimization and Internet Advertising- If you are going to be selling online, or have a site to promote your company, you may want to hire an online search engine optimization firm to assit you, or you can do your own SEO, focusing on blogging, premium text links, search engine submission and strategy.

Directories and Yellow Pages Advertisements- Having your business in the yellow pages, or online directories will help ensure locally that you can be found.

There are a number of other options for marketing a small home business, but the key is to identify your target market, and what marketing method will work best to reach them. Then, focus your marketing money in that direction.
The following are some great tips for keeping your home a home, even when you work from it.

Don't let work things physically encroach on your living space-

Determine where you business will be conducted, where you will work, and set up a space dedicated to just that. Do not let yourself work in your family spaces, or put products in rooms they don't belong in. Instead, set up a home office, and keep your work confined to that space so that when your family wants to be in the house, they can without interfering with your work or business. Your child should not have to be concerned about spilling in the kitchen, etc. because it might get on some work papers. Those work papers should be in your home office.

Don't let your work determine the way your home has to be-

If you find yourself telling children to be quiet, or asking your family not to make food in the blender, or watch television because the noise will interfere with your work, then chances are you are letting work determine the mood and environment of your home. It is time to put a stop to that. How? One of the best ways is to simply change your work hours. If you need quiet, or need to be able to make phone calls without interruption, etc. you should set your hours for when your family is away from home. Such as when kids are in school, or the family has commitments that take them out of the house. On the rare occasions that you have to work other times as well, do not let it be a punishment for your family, instead find a fun, constructive way to get the environment you need, without making it seem like work matters most. For example, send your kids to the movies for the night, or order dinner in so no one has to make a mess in the kitchen, etc.

Try to work consistent hours, and have time off-

If you are going to work from home, you have to be able to "get off" from work sometimes. You don't want to end up feeling like you are always at work. So, set hours that you will dedicate to work, and other hours that you will dedicate to your family, your home, and other commitments. It is really helpful to give yourself a day off each week where you do not think about, talk about, or do any of your home business stuff. It helps keep you balanced, and gives your family the sense that they are as important as your business. Spend quality time with your family and do stuff for yourself each day.

Too many people think that running a business out of their home is going to be easy, offering them flexibility, and increased earning potential without having to put in a real effort, or doing much. If this was the case, everyone would have a home based business, and live the life of luxury while doing nothing to earn it. The fact is, that running a home based business takes work, and often quite a lot.

Before starting a small business, you need to understand and carefully consider what kind of time commitment and effort it will take, and then determine if that is something you will be able to manage. Sometimes, you are willing to do what it takes, but other commitments and things taking up your time make it impossible. For example, a mother of small children may have difficult finding a sitter each time they need to meet with a potential client. So, a home based business that requires a lot of face time, may not be the best choice.

Ask yourself the following questions, as they will help you to realize the basic requirements of running a home based business besides having a great product or service, and a passion for what you are doing:

Will I have time each day, and be willing to make the effort to set up appointments with customers or suppliers?

Do I know how to order supplies, and will I be able to track inventory, and order supplies before we run out?

Am I good enough with numbers, and organized enough to manage the bookkeeping for the business?

How do I intend to market my business, and do I have the time for the commitment that takes?

Will I be available to answer phone calls, respond to emails, and fulfill orders daily?

Will I have the financial resources to hire help when I can't do the every-day tasks required to run my home based business?

The every-day requirements of running a home based business take more than knowledge about a subject matter. It requires time and effort to market the business, to meet with suppliers or clients, to fill orders, provide services, and organize the business books. If you do not have enough hours in the day, or the skills to do this, you can consider hiring help, but if you are not generating enough revenue for that, you may need to consider the commitment it takes for a successful home business and whether or not you can handle it. The majority of home businesses are a one-person operation that starts out with little or no budget. However, that one person is the one doing the grunt work, and the mundane tasks that make doing what you love, or selling what you love possible.
