Common practices for MLM recruiting


As most of you know MLMs, or multi-level marketing programs are a home based business opportunity that rely on two different things to make them work. The first thing that MLMs rely on is the product that they are selling. And the second thing that they rely on is recruiting more people to sell that product. Basically what happens in a MLM is you are recruited by somebody to sell the product and your goal is to recruit more people to sell that product and the people that you recruit are supposed to recruit more people to sell the product. And basically the cycle goes on and on.

When it comes to MLM recruiting there are certain things that you will find most MLM companies will do. One of the most common practices that you will find when it comes to MLM recruiting is offering the people who are doing the recruiting some type of incentive. The most popular thing that you will see offered is that the people who recruit other people will be able to collect a portion of the recruited people's profits. Basically what this means is that if you recruit fifty people you will be able to collect a certain percentage of those fifty people's profits, basically you get paid for what they sell.


But another common practice that you will see when it comes to MLM recruiting is the compensation plan. This plan is filled with things that you will get if you decide to join the MLM and in it you will find various compensations that you will receive including how much of a percentage you will get for commissions, the average is around 35%. But even though these two practices are the most common practices you will find when it comes to recruiting others to join an MLM there are still other practices that are out there.

Here are some common practices for MLM recruiting that you should avoid.

Number one:
Job offers. This is probably the most common practice that you will find when it comes to MLM recruiting. The reason that you should avoid this is because it is basically faulty recruiting, you are basically lying to the people you are trying to recruit because you are telling them that you are offering them a job from working from home. But in reality when it comes to MLM recruiting you are not offering people a job rather you are offering them a chance to go into business for themselves. Basically the people you are recruiting are going to be independent contractors, rather than employees.

Number two:
Another common practice that you will see is companies promising that you will receive commissions on certain days, perhaps once a week or twice a month. But basically these MLM companies are promising their recruits that they will get paid on a certain date and then the companies are not following through with those promises.

Number three:
Another method that MLMs use to recruit people for their company is through testimonials. These are a great way to get people to join your business, as long as they are true. But all too often what happens is that companies include testimonials that are fake, they claim that the product does all of these things or that they have earned this much money to date. This is also known as false advertising. But what happens is when the people you have recruited find out that the testimonials are not true they will end up leaving the company and most likely filing complaints with various organizations.
