Five Ways to Change with Technology in the Workplace

  1. How has your organization communicated the change to its employees (memos, intranet, newsletter, etc.)? What other sources of information do you have to keep abreast of these changes? Constantly look for ways to keep yourself up-to-date with the changes in your organization and industry.
  2. Attend industry professional association meetings and read industry journals to help you anticipate industry trends and therefore proactively forecast changes in your organization.
  3. Learn all you can about your organizational changes. Read industry information to anticipate changes in your own organization. Always think bigger picture.
  4. Position yourself for success by developing new skills in anticipation of the potential changes in your organization. Become a change agent.
  5. Commit to your own personal safety. Wear appropriate safety gear and obey safety procedures and regulations.
