Here is how to use party planning to sell your home business product. Using party planning will offer great opportunities to get your product to prospective customers. A party planned right will create an atmosphere of relaxation and the trust to purchase your product.

Party planning is a simple, non-expensive marketing tool that reflects your small business, or home business product. There are a few things to keep in mind when you are planning your party to sell your home business product.

First you will want to create a plan that will help you construct a party that will get people buying and talking. The more people buy and talk the more your home business product will sell.

This plan should include:

  • What products you will have at the party?
  • Will you be giving out any samples, or flyers for the people who do not want to purchase right now?
  • Will you have food, and drinks at the party?
  • What space will you need as far as the amount of people you will have?
  • Will you have any signs and or marketing tools that will liven up the area that the party will be held in?
  • What time frame will the party be held at? Will it be in the evening, or on the weekend? Is it going to be a party that is targeted to your purchasing groups?

With this list you can go on to the next step to making your party help you sell your home business product. The next thing you will want to do is create a list of whom you will be having over to the party.

The list should have more people than you expect to come. If 50 people are invited, you will have roughly half of those people show up. However, plan enough food, drinks, and free samples as if there were going to be at least 40 people there.

Next you will want to use some sort of marketing invitation that is eye catching to get the customers coming to the party. You should get the invitations out roughly one to two weeks before the party.

After the invitations are sent out, the evening before the party you will need to call the people you invited and get a confirmation on if they are coming. Set it up as a simple reminder. However, even if you have most of the people you contact state that they will be coming, it will still likely be half the amount that you invited.

The day of the party, make it a point to create a clean, and inviting environment for the party. People will buy more if they are comfortable and relaxed.

People buy from people they trust. Take the time to make sure that you are ready to answer questions about your product. That you are relaxed and confident about your product and that you have the want and ability to make sure that your future customers walk away from the party happen and recognized, even if they do not make a purchase at that time.

Finally treat each person like they are your best customers. This will build the rapport that is needed to sell your home product. The party will get the people to your door, however it is up to you and your product to sell it.
