Several companies are hiring internet researchers to collect and organize data of information they need. You can work-from-home as an internet researcher and make around $10 an hour or more. All you need is a computer with high-speed internet to get started. There are hundreds of companies willing to pay you for your ability to use the internet. Many of them want you to be able to use databases, network, fill out questionnaires, and a handful of other things. If you spend time browsing the internet all day, this may actually be a great job for you. Companies like to hire people that love to spend time on the internet and are in-touch with the latest internet trends like social networking sites and blogging.

To get started, you need to have some experience as an internet researcher. Look for companies that are hiring people to take surveys or build databases. Since you normally need to do some research on these topics, it will start to build your resume and company image. Experience is the key when it comes to internet research. Next, you need to have a computer with high-speed internet if you expect to do well in this business. Companies want to know that you will be able to quickly find the information they need and that you will know exactly where to look. You will need to build a web site in order to show your skills to other companies. Once you have your web site up and running, start selling advertising space so you can generate some revenue.

The only space you need to set aside to become an internet researcher is a desk that is big enough for your computer. Make sure you have a nice chair and a comfortable area to be in since you could be on the computer for several hours at a time.

Internet researchers have to spend hours researching the internet and providing relevant data to their clients. To be a good internet researcher, plan to spend at least 4-5 hours a day in front of the computer. The more time you can spend researching, the better. You want your research to be quality information and you will get this by spending more time doing it.

If you are just starting out as an internet researcher, you probably won't make a lot of money. This would be around a 1 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest. Over time, you can start to make more money, but the average is about $10 an hour or $17,000-$25,000 a year. This job is considered a great secondary income but you should expect it to take over as a good full-time job.

To be successful, take some course in marketing and internet research. The more you know, the better it will be for your company. Most internet researchers need to understand how to build web sites, work with message boards, collect data, and input information into databases. Make sure you have inbound links to your web site as this will boost your internet numbers. You want to increase your advertising as much as possible in order to make some money when you aren't doing a lot of research.

The biggest risk you will take with this job includes not devoting enough time to it. Employers will become upset if you turn-in incomplete data. Make sure you spend your time on this job and fulfill all the necessary requirements. Don't expect to make a ton of money with this job either. As stated above, the job of an internet researcher is great as a secondary income, not the primary income.
