Here you are going to need to use the keywords that you selected earlier on your website. What you are going to do is optimize your website for those keywords, which is called search engine optimization. You can use free software that is available online to help you optimize your website or you can take classes that are available online to help you understand this important marketing tool.

Number three: Blog posting, tagging, and pinging
If you post to your blog at least once a day and hyperlinking your keyword into that post so that it points back to your website. This is going to help you build backlinks to your website so that you website will rank higher in the search engine results. What you want to do is continually build backlinks to your websites so that you get more exposure. Keep in mind that you also have to tag your posts and the ping your blog to announce to the blogging community that you have just added a new post. Pinging your blog without making a new post is considered spamming, so you want to avoid this at all costs.

Number four: Forum posting and participation
You can use forums to help advertise your online home business, but you can also use them to gain knowledge and assistance about your online home business or to provide your customers knowledge and assistance. What you need to do is set up your signature with your keyword linked to your website, which will give you free advertising for your online home business and it will add backlinks to your website. To get actively involved in the forum discussions you want to constructively post and contribute to the forums three to five times a day.

Number five: Article writing and marketing
Writing articles is another effective way to build backlinks to your website; it can also help you to achieve high positions in search engine results. If you have no idea about what you can write articles about you can start by writing articles about things that you are learning on a daily basis. Just by writing one or two articles and distributing them to as many article directories as possible, you will see your website rise in search engine rankings. When writing articles you want to write them based on the theme of your website and use the keywords that you have selected, plus you want to hyperlink the keyword to your URL in the author resource box.
