Ten reasons it pays to have a home business
Let's consider ten reasons it pays to have a home business.
1. The first reason it pays to have a home business is that you don't have to leave home to go to work. This in turn is satisfying for other reasons. Obviously, it'd be nice to get up in the morning, take your time at breakfast, have a second coffee, and not change into a suit. You could change into a suit if you wanted to, I suppose, but for some people a bathrobe and pajamas works just fine. But the fact remains that you have much more freedom when you have a home business to be yourself.

2. The second reason it pays to have a home business has to do with having children. If you have children, and don't have the means to provide a sitter for them or put them in daycare (or perhaps you simply don't want to be away from them), having a home office business means that you'll be able to keep your children close. Now, it's going to take quite a bit of effort to keep enough attention on your business that you can grow it, and not be distracted by the children. How you do that is up to you. But many people have switched to a home business in order not to have to leave their children, and found success both with their children and their business.
3. The third reason it pays to have a home business is that you can be your own boss. Now, everyone agrees that it's not the greatest thing in the world to have a bossed, to be bossed by someone. You don't always agree with them, sometimes they can be bullying, etc. Being your own boss is a liberating experience, and is also quite a confidence booster. You can jump straight into attempting a successful business, without having to move up the ladder through office politics.
4. The fourth reason it pays to have a home business is that you can choose a business that fits your interests. You can find a business that you enjoy doing, or at least a business that you don't hate doing; and if you're motivated to do a thing for more reasons than money, you're more likely to make good money doing it.
5. The fifth reason it pays to have a home business is that-it pays. More and more people are finding success in home business. The Internet is making it possible for people to own their own home business in ways that they never dreamed of before.
6. The sixth reason it pays to have a home business is that you'll learn valuable Internet and computer skills (not to mention thinking and creative skills) that will serve you all your life, whether you're in home business or not. Say, for example, that after a few years of owning a home business you decided to get a job elsewhere. The skills you picked up while operating your home business will serve you in good stead here.
7. The seventh reason it pays to have a home business is that you set your hours. Perhaps you actually work better late at night; perhaps you work better very early in the morning; whatever time you choose, you choose it, and no one else.
8. The eighth reason it pays to have a home business is that you can try a variety of things. In other words, your home business doesn't depend on working in just one area; you can branch out, try other things relating to your main business, and that way stay creative and attentive.
9. The ninth reason it pays to have a home business is that you'll meet a lot of interesting people that way, and make connections that will benefit you business-wise and friendship-wise. People who own home business usually meet a lot of other people who own home businesses.
10. The tenth reason it pays to have a home business is that you really feel like you're making an investment in the future when you buy the latest computer equipment and so forth. You aren't just buying the stuff to keep track of bills, play games, and surf the web; you're buying the stuff to build a future for yourself and your family.
