Here is a look at some of the least successful home based business ideas. But keep in mind that even though these ideas are not always successful that doesn't mean you can't make them work for you.
Number one:
A personal fitness trainer. This is a good idea for people who are already involved in fitness, meaning that you enjoy spending hours at the gym working out. But the main reason that this business isn't that successful is because not many people require the use of a personal trainer because it can end up being quite costly. But if you spend time at the gym and have some good connections at the gym you can turn this into a great home based business.
Number two:
A yoga instructor. While this was a popular thing a few years ago it has started to lose its newness so the only people who are involved with it are the ones who were dedicated from the beginning. And even if you enjoy doing yoga in order to turn it into a home business you are going to need to get certified to instruct yoga, which is more intense of a procedure than just taking yoga classes.
Number three:
Tutoring. This is another specialized area for a home based business and can often be in demand. The hardest part about running this type of home based business is getting enough contacts to keep your business booming, not to mention keeping enough new clients coming in that when your old ones move on you can still stay afloat. In how important education is in today's society there are going to be people out there looking for tutors, either for themselves or for their kids. If going this route your best bet would be to offer generalized tutoring since specialized tutoring is going to be harder to keep busy.
Number four:
Personal shopper or Concierge. Although people lead busy lives spending money on having other people shop for them or to have somebody help you with everyday tasks is just not something that people can afford or if they can want to spend money on. It is just easier for them to do it themselves no matter how much they despise doing it. So while this job isn't going to be your best choice you can also target these types of services to businesses to see if they need help with the little things like delivering packages or even shredding papers.
