One thing that you need to think about before being able to tell if starting a home business is the right answer for you is if you are going to be motivated enough to actually get the work done. Many people find that working from home is harder, but more comfortable, because they don't have the "work environment". If you think that you can be motivated to work from home a good thing to do is set up some kind of schedule and work place and then stick to it.

Another thing that you need to think about is that you are going to have to work longer and harder at starting a home business then you had to work before. And this can get in the way of your family life or social life. But if you want to be successful at a home business you have to put in the work to get it started and then the work that is needed to keep it going. But you also have to keep your family happy, which means that you are going to have to set boundaries about when you are working and then stop when you say you will. If you live alone you might think that working from home is perfect because you have no distractions, but you still need to set aside some me time so that you don't get burnt out. Working from home means that you are going to need to answer to your customers, which will now be your boss. Are you willing to do everything that you can to please them and then go above and beyond the call of duty? So not only are you going to need to be motivated you are also going to need to be committed, which means that you are going to need to be driven to succeed.
