Being ready also means you should do everything in your power to get a good night's rest.


3. Take breaks. Sometimes when you are running your own home business you forget to take the breaks you need. It's important to set aside the same time you would take if you were working away from home for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Get some fresh air, have some crackers and cheese, or whatever you need to do to rejuvenate yourself.


4. Prioritize. Every business whether big or small needs to learn how to prioritize tasks. Owning a home business is no different; in fact it's probably more important. With so many things to do and probably very little to no help, you need to prioritize what needs to be done every day.

4. Use business cards. Not everyone you meet will automatically remember you or what you do. However, with a business card you can have your name and the service you provide as a quick reminder to them. You do have to find places to hand them out, or place them though or they'll do you no good.
