Waxing services

Starting your own waxing service is a great idea if you are already certified to wax people. If you have never waxed anyone, you need to work for a salon for a little bit so you can get a crash course in waxing. When it comes to body hair, everyone wants to have it removed. Most people don't want to shave the hair on a daily basis so they turn to waxing or other hair removal options. Waxing involves putting a warm layer of wax on your skin and then placing a cloth over it and removing the hair right from the hair follicle in one quick motion. Waxing is pretty painful for some people, especially when you are waxing sensitive areas of the body.

To start your own waxing company, you must be certified to wax people. Beauty colleges often offer quick courses in waxing and you can become certified in a few weeks. You must also have a room in your home for waxing. You will need a nice padded table for your customers to lie on when you wax them. For some clients, you will need a bed that lifts up so you can position them correctly for the waxing service you are performing. Don't forget about all the other supplies you will need like wax, tear cloths, lotion, and other supplies.

You will need to set apart a room in your home that will be used exclusively for your waxing services. People want privacy when they are being waxed, even if they are the only client. Since many people are waxed in areas that are not commonly shown, they deserve to feel safe when they are taking off their clothing. Always provide them with a spare room where they can change and not worry about another client seeing them.

Waxing services don't take long for eyebrows and upper lips. A service like that is about 15 minutes. A back or a bikini line is a little longer, normally 30 minutes to an hour. If you only want to work part time, you should offer hours that are convenient for your clients. A lot of people work from 9-5 and they won't be able to stop by at 2:30. Try offering some evening hours and weekend hours for your working clients.

Depending upon the type of waxing services you do, you can easily make $100 an hour. Waxing a bikini line averages around $70 and if you can do 5 a day, that's $3,500! On a scale of one to five, waxing services rate at a 3.5. Some people do quite well with their home-based waxing services.

To be successful, it all comes down to your client list. If your clients are satisfied with your work, they will come back for more and they will tell their friends about you. It is important to be friendly with your clients since you will be locked up in a room together for at least 15 minutes. Good waxers are able to build great relationships with their clients and this will help them to keep coming back for more. To find the clients, you need to advertise. Place ads all over town and consider doing some mailers. This is a great way to reach all the people around your neighborhood and possibly convince them to give you a try.

Since you are performing a procedure, you need to be very careful with your clients. There are always the people out there that will take advantage of a nice person by stating false accusations. Always keep insurance for your own protection and for the protection of the company.
