So let's say that you spend one hundred and fifty dollars a month on utilities. Is there a good way to cut down? In the winter you might want to consider only heating the room in the house that you are in. Turn off the heat at night. Make sure that the lights are always turned off when you leave the house or are not using a particular room.
As far as food goes, I'm sure that there are certain things you can do without. Do you really need snacks or expensive deserts? These sorts of things are very pricey and only tend to lead to obeseity. Try buying less expensive brands.
Entertainment is something that we all need, but many people in this country spend thousands of dollars a year on entertainment. Consider spending much less on entertainment. Could you do without cable television and high speed internet? These sorts of things can cost hundreds of dollars a month. These are the sorts of things that if cut could save you thousands of dollars a year.
Credit cards are another major cost. You very well might be able to cut your spending on credit cards by consolidating or switching your balance to another card with lower rates or lower fees. Over the long run this could save you thousands of dollars, so you should look into it. Take seriously the opportunity to cut the cost of your monthly recurring cost. In hard economic times you can quickly find ways to save considerable amounts of money. Keep trying and you will save thousands a year and help to insure the life of your family.
