One week to a better budget, how to curb your spending

The following is your one week to a better budget, how to curb your spending:
Pack lunches
Pay at the pump
Plan a menu
Pay your bills online
Make plans at home with friends
Pre-make meals
Plan outfits

All of the above things will mean you spend less because you have less opportunity and less need. For example, if you plan your outfits ahead of time you will have something to wear and not feel the need to go shopping. If you pay at the pump you will not spend extra in the gas station on candy, soda or gum. The following is a sample week.

Monday-
Look at your budget, evaluate where you are. How much do you have to spend, and where? Are you out of entertainment money for the month? What about groceries? Gas? Ok, now make a plan.

Plan a menu that fits within your grocery budget and uses items you have at home already. Pre-make as many meals as you can so that you are not tempted to eat out when you are tired.

Go grocery shopping with a list.

Pack your lunch for Tuesday at work.

Tuesday-
Wake up, eat breakfast (if you eat breakfast you are far less likely to spend money on snacks)

Go straight to work, if you need gas pay at the pump so you are not tempted to add anything to the bill.

During your lunch break eat your packed lunch from the day before, and drink water. Get off your lunch break early so you can leave work early and not have to shop to eliminate stress.

Get home, heat, or make one of your planned meals. Pack a lunch for the following day

Watch a movie you have, play a board game you have, or watch television as your entertainment.

Wednesday-
Do what you did on Tuesday only today during your lunch break make some plans for the evening that involves staying in. This will help you save money, and still have fun.

Thursday-
Repeat of Wednesday only clean up your house in the evening and call some friends for a Friday game night.

Friday-
Repeat of previous day.

Get home from work and get house picked up and some snacks prepared for game night. Even if you buy snack foods, you will spend less than if you go out. To save even more money ask each person to bring a snack to share.

Saturday-
Eat breakfast
Do what you normally do, but make lists and plan your stops for the day so as not to spend too much time browsing or shop where you shouldn't.

Each lunch then go see a matinee (bargain price) movie, do not buy treats. You just ate lunch so you should not feel the need for popcorn and candy.

Get things ready for next week so that your temptations are curbed, your justifications not as simple to come by (such as eating out because there is nothing in the house or because you do not know what to make) plan your menu, make your grocery list, and invite some friends over for the evenings you may find yourself wanting to go out for entertainment.

Sunday-
Church
Relax

If you can follow something similar to this you will be able to curb your spending, be less stressed, more effective, and much more likely to enjoy your life.
