Everyone wants to save more money. It's not so easy to do. Here are some tips to help reign in the spending so you have more money to save.

Your budget is a good place to start. Look to see where your money goes. How much do you pay for your regular bills including house and car payments. You can look into refinancing your house or car. These are bigger ticket items and harder to change how much goes into them.

Is your vehicle more then you need? If so, maybe you can look into trading it in for a smaller car. This may save $50 or more.

Can you get a smaller percentage rate on your house? It's always good to take a look at your rate at least once a year. If you can lower the percentage rate it might be a good idea to try and refinance. This can also put an extra $50 or more into your savings a month.

Look at your lifestyle. Try to simplify it. Do you need and use everything you own. If you can sell some of your things do so. Put that money straight to your savings.

Determine if you really need some of your possessions Think of the upkeep costs on your knick knacks. You need cleaners to dust and clean them all. The more you have the more you need. The less you use the more money in your savings.

Some easier ways to reign in your spending to save more money is looking at the daily things you do.

Do you buy expensive coffees from work or the big chains? If you give these up and bring your own from home, you can save about $10 a week.

The same thing goes for eating out. How many times a week do you eat out? If you spend on average five dollars a meal just for yourself then you can look at saving an extra $25 a week. If you take the whole family the savings will increase.

Instead of going out, look into eating more homemade meals at home. They are cheaper and leftovers can be used as lunches for work or school.

When at the grocery store do you go ahead and buy that bottled pop or small candy bar? If you go without these two things it will help you reign in the spending even more. It may not look like much at first but it starts to add up to a savings of about $100 per year.

Buy bulk when buying groceries. Meats and paper products are easiest. Meats can be bought in family packs and then refroze in Ziplocs according to what you need.

Paper products like paper towels, toilet paper, plastic cups, and the Ziploc bags are much cheaper when bought in bulk. Warehouse stores have the best deals on these.

Look at making your own cleaners. There are many websites created for helping in this. Also, make your own mixes for hot chocolate and such. Don't buy the premade oatmeal packages. Look at buying the big canisters where you need to measure out yourself. This will give you lots of savings and be much healthier.

Limit what media you use. Do you need all 300 channels on the TV? Can you get the shows you want from the internet? Do you read the paper daily? Do you really need the magazine every week? Magazine subscriptions can save you another $100 or more per year.

Limit your ATM visits. Try and make the cash last for the full week or more. If you don't have the cash then don't buy it. Try to buy everything in cash.

If you really want to buy something give yourself a 24 hour cooling off period. Chances are you won't go back for the item. Saving you money.

When you get a loan paid off keep putting the money into your savings account. You have already lived without the money so pay yourself back for a while.

There are always small ways to reign in your money so you have more to save. Some may not seem like a lot at first but it starts to add up. After awhile you'll have the savings you deserve.
