Stay in a Condo not a Hotel Room

Vacation can be a great time to relax, spend some time together as a family or to have a lot of fun with friends and family. But many people stress out about all of the money they are spending on a hotel and just staying in the destination. Many people don't even know that a hotel isn't the only option you have when going on vacation and especially when you are going to be there for a few days or more.

Some people take longer vacations and have to deal with nightly hotel rates. But staying in a condo can actually be a more economical approach when you are going to spend more than just a few days in a location. Plus a condo almost always offers more amenities than most hotel rooms. Some people choose an extended stay in a hotel on the beach or other attractive locations, but the expense of staying in a place like this can really add up quickly. The problem is compounded even more when you are traveling with children or need to get a suite or more than one room for the whole vacation. This can really add too much expense.
A condo offers many things that a hotel can't even though hotels have continental breakfast and other services that many people really don't care about. Most condos, even if they are created specifically for vacationers, have a full size kitchen and more than one bedroom or more extensive sleeping accommodations than a hotel. Although sometimes a condo can be more expensive, it also offers more comfort and can also allow you to save money on other things while on vacation. A significant amount of money is usually spent on eating at restaurants on vacation and the cost of food can really add up fast. In a condo, you have a kitchen and can prepare your own food and you don't have to feel obligated to go out and eat every time someone in the family gets hungry. The homey environment is also more relaxing than a hotel and many people feel more relaxed in a condo than a hotel. Condos are almost always bigger than a comparable hotel room or suite as well and give more room to spread out and relax. Condos are also more private and allow you to spend more time in the room and not feel strange about what the people on the other side of the wall are doing.
Staying in a condo can be economical in places that aren't, like Hawaii. Many people wouldn't think that staying in a condo on the beach in Hawaii would be a good option for a family, but they can actually be a great deal especially in popular destinations where people normally just choose to stay at a resort with all the features that the hotel says they should be looking for. Remember that your vacation is yours and your activities shouldn't be dictated by what a concierge says is doable or would work well for the location. Another reason that staying at a condo can be a better option is because you are probably only going to be staying at the hotel or condo for the evenings and most of the time in other locations. So all of the services that you pay a premium for (even if you don't use them) like room service or laundry service, you are spending money on something that you really don't need while traveling. You don't have to drop hundreds of dollars more on a hotel room than a condo especially when you won't even be spending most of your time there.
