Staying humble when you have money
It is frequently a problem that when people have money, they are overtaken with pride, and elevate themselves above other people. They tend to look at themselves as better than other people, and snub those who are not as financially well off. Even if they do not snub them, they do not always give them the respect they deserve. So, how can you stay humble when you have money, wealth, financial freedom? Try the following tips:

First, what it boils down to is how you view human nature. If you think that all people are of worth, and that all humans have value, despite their monetary value, then you will have a much easier time staying humble when you have money. You will find that every person is beautiful, wonderful, elegant, etc. and that having money is more about fate, and application of talents, rather being innately better than someone else. Sure, you might be using your brains better, or made wiser decisions, or applied more control to your spending than someone else.
Second, you have to learn to value people for things other than their money. Everyone has something to love about them, and often their financial circumstances are outside of their control. You will find that you are far more humble when you do not put your financial worth into the equation. Instead, consider who you are. Do you often lose your patience? Do you have an open-mind? What about you makes you a person of worth besides your money? Are you generous, thoughtful, kind? What? Remember your origins. Have you always had money? Who are you inside? Who are you without your money? If you lost all of your money tomorrow, who would you be? Humility comes when you realize that you are not necessarily as great as you think.
Third, use your money for good. Often the pride you get with money becomes exclusive. You are happy to do things for others with money, and to spoil or lavish praise, gifts, etc. on those that have, but are unwilling to open your arms, heart, and home to those who o not. So, if you want to stay humble when you have money, you have to use that money for good. Do kind things for those who are less fortunate financially than you are. Be generous. You do not have to give of your money to help others, so remember that. Time, love, and energy are often more desirable than funds.
If you want to stay humble and have money it is up to you to make a conscious effort to do so. If you let your money, fine things, position, etc. go to your head, you will exhibit the characteristics of pride, and not be the kind of person you want to be. So decide today that you can have money and still be a good person. Commit that you won't let money induce greed, pride, and other negative qualities, rather bring out your generosity and expand your ability to help those around you.
