Use coupons for entertainment
The following are some ways to get coupons for the types of entertainment most people enjoy such as movies, plays, comedy shows, eating out, golf, bowling, etc:
Costco- A lot of times your local Costco or even a local grocery store will have tickets to the movie theater in town for a discounted rate, or that come with some sort of incentive, such as a concessions coupon.

Promotions-On occasion theaters will have promotions where you can get discounts on tickets, but usually this means that you have to use those tickets to see a movie that is two weeks old. Ask your local theater if they have any sort of promotional you can get for such tickets.
Mailers- Mailers are a great way to get buy one get one tickets, rentals, discounts, etc. just keep your eyes open for the theaters and movie rental places you like to visit.
Memberships- Many movie rental places now offer membership programs where if you join you get a discounted rate on rentals, or pay a monthly flat fee for unlimited, etc. This can equal big savings.
Calendars- Last year Hollywood Video came out with a video calendar, and with each month you would get a rent two for the price of one coupon on the calendar. To buy the calendar cost under $5, and you got a rent one get one free each month, plus a few extras to use any time. Hollywood video is not the only place to use such tactics, so look for these types of offers at places you frequent.
The paper: If you still get the paper, you can always find percentage off coupons, or buy one get one coupons in the ad section and in the Sunday coupons. These are great for reducing the price of your entertainment, whether it is for a bowling alley, or for a restaurant.
The internet: Everyplace has websites these days, and many times the various entertainments will offer a weekly coupon of some kind. It might be a discount on admission, on a concession, on a gear rental, or a party room rental etc. But, you can't take advantage of it if you do not know about it, so before you go out to bowl, golf, jump on a bouncy blow up thing, or see a play, check the website to see if there are any discount coupons offered.
Fundraiser books: Schools, and local groups often do fundraisers with local businesses as sponsors, and you can almost always get great discounts on food and fun by purchasing the fundraiser book or card. For example, you might get half price admission to a local arcade, or free shoe rental at the bowling alley, or a free drink with a paid meal, etc.
