30 minute workouts for the whole body

If you want to only work out for thirty minutes, but you want to get a full body workout try some of the following 30 minute workouts for the whole body:

Jogging: If you go for a run you get a nice workout for the whole body. Try stretching before you go to loosen up. Then run a couple of miles, stretch again, and do some wind sprints. This is where you run at full speed for fifty yards, stop, take a few breaths, turns around, and do it again. You can even take some little arm weights for a fuller body workout. Finish off with 50 crunches and 50 pushups, and you have a full body work out. Your legs, butt, lower back, arms, and abs will get a workout just from jogging, but if you throw in some wind sprints, crunches, and pushups then you get an even better workout for the whole body. On your jog make sure that you go at a good pace, do not lag too much, but be sure that no matter what pace you choose that you can keep it up for the whole run, so that you do not have to walk at all. Also, if you feel good, try doing some small intervals where you run at a faster pace for thirty seconds, and then go back to your other pace. Just don't walk!

Aerobics: If you want to get in a thirty minute workout for the whole body, and you are not very motivated to workout on your own, taking a class at the gym is such a great idea. You can take a thirty minute aerobics class. You get a work out for the whole body. Your legs and arms will get some exercise, your back, abs, etc. of course how thorough it is will depend on your gym instructor, and the class you take. If you do not want to pay expensive gym memberships for a thirty minute workout you can buy aerobics instruction on tape or CD. This can cost a little bit, but compared to the price of the gym, it is still a savings, plus your whole body gets a work out, and you do not have to fit it into the gym schedule, but rather, do it whenever you want.

A weight lifting program: If you want to workout your whole body, you can do this lifting weights. However, it often takes several different weight machines. So, if you want to get a whole body workout with weights, it is best to visit the gym and do it there. It is also wise to do this workout with someone else so you have a spotter. So, talk to a trainer and find out what level of weight lifting you can do at your level for a full body workout. Often times you can use free weights to get a great full body workout.

Swimming: Taking a swim is a fantastic way to get a 30 minute workout for the whole body. Hop in the pool, and start swimming laps. Try different strokes, and be sure to keep a good pace, and to keep working out, don't take big breaks, this will work your body better, and help you find a better workout from a nice swim. You can visit a gym with a lap pool, swim at the local recreation center, or in a private pool. This workout obviously requires that you have access to a pool, but the nice thing is that many pools are indoor, so you can get your workout in no matter what time of year it is. You can swim in the morning, noon, or night, often times because the water keeps a good temperature so unlike jogging, even if it is 100 degrees outside, you can workout without feeling horribly hot and miserable.

There are tons of whole body workouts you can do in thirty minutes, you can even do an isometric exercise routine. The point is that it is possible to get a full workout in thirty minutes. Choose what you like best, and either design a workout on your own, or talk to a trainer to have them help you come up with an appropriate workout for your ability, condition, etc.
