The benefits of these two aerobics are different, let's talk about why.

Step aerobics is a method were you use a step to workout with. The step is supposed to be like going up and down stairs when you do repeated steps up and down. You can adjust your step to make it high or lower, the higher you go the harder your workout will be. Several steps can be involved when you do you step aerobics. You can go from side to side on the step, or even just over the step. All of these motions are done with up beat motivating music. You can find step aerobics at your local gym, or if you prefer you can purchase your own exercise step and workout in the comfort of your own home. Some benefits of step aerobics include:

  • You will have a better attitude. When you workout you body become energized and you feel better because you did something great for your body.
  • Doing vigorous exercise will help you burn calories and drop pounds off your weight.
  • If you are really stressed out you will benefit from step aerobics. Working out helps you forget about the stress of everyday life.
  • You will be able to sleep better at night, and wake up easier in the morning.
  • You will boost your endurance, making it easier to do longer harder workouts.
  • You cardiovascular system will strengthen with every step aerobic workout, making your heart stronger.

Water aerobics is a type of aerobics done in the water. If you enjoy being in the water you will most likely enjoy working out in the water. Doing water aerobics is also a good way to work out and stay cool at the same time. If you are in an area where it is hot outside then beat the heat with water aerobics. Water aerobics is extremely safe and is often used for rehabilitation. Below are benefits that water aerobics offer:

  • You will burn twice as many calories with water aerobics then you would when doing land aerobics.

  • You will be able to meet you weight goal by doing water aerobics.

  • You will increase muscle mass, because the water puts more resistance on your body. You will also make you muscles stronger allowing you to lift more weight.

  • Water aerobics is also good for your cardiovascular system, when your heart is strong then your body is strong.

  • You flexibility will be increased, making it easier for you to accomplish every day activities.

  • You will feel refreshed and energized after you water aerobic workout.
