Here is a look at some great exercises that are done on a treadmill. The treadmill exercises are considered cardio exercises. They are awesome for good cardio health. However, did you know that a treadmill is not just for walking a mile?

The way that good cardio exercise works is that it increases the blood flow to help heal the tissues in the body. Also, it increases the overall oxygen to the body, which helps to create better health all together.

Ok, so now we know it is better for us, and we know that there is more than just walking you can do on a treadmill. But, what else can you do?

Here are some different ways to get more out of your treadmill.

Jog

As long as you do not have joint pain or other health issues that would restrict the movement. Try jogging to some fun music. This will not only increase the burned calories, but it will also help you to do the natural movement for your bodies other needs. Jogging can help to release endorphins, and clear out your lymph system.

Run

Running is much like walking. It will be important to make sure that your health can handle a good run. Then follow good technique to avoid injury and get the most from your running.

Keep in mind that running is a high intensity exercise and will require you to watch your heart rate, and breathing closer. If you cannot talk, or are feeling dizzy, stop running.

If you run or jog for around 20-30 minutes three times a week, you will start to see a significant change in your weight, muscle health, and overall cardio health.

Weights

Using smaller weights when you are walking and moving your arms in a swinging motion, not only will burn more calories, but also increase the strength of your arms, and upper body. You will also find that if you hold the weights up, to the side of your body, you will increase the muscle strength in your upper body in different areas also your shoulders will get a good workout.

Incline for hill workout

Use the incline of your treadmill to create a mountain climbing feeling and action. This helps to build the muscles in your legs and also increases the cardio workout. However, keep in mind that this will be a rigorous exercise, and should be done with some caution.

Variation

Use some variation in your treadmill workout. There are some treadmills that you can program in the different types of workouts you want. You can even program in some of the styles of walking, jogging, running and climbing you find work best for you.

Therefore, using a variation will help to work different parts of your body and also make the time go by faster

Overall the use of a treadmill to increase your cardio health is one of the best things you can do for yourself. The reason is that walking; jogging and running are one of the most natural movements for the human body.

We are made to do these actions, and by giving our bodies the chance to do these movements will make a world of difference for our overall health. This is a basic look of some different exercises that are done on a treadmill. Now it is up to you to decide what will work best for you.
