When it comes to buying treadmills, not all treadmills are created equal. Each one has a wide range of features and specifications, so it's important to know what exactly you're buying in order to make sure it meets your needs.

The Reebok 9500 treadmill is one popular brand of treadmill. It has a number of features that make it a good option for people who want a nice treadmill with many bells and whistles. Some of the Reebok 9500's features include:

  • Easy storage. One of the latest trends in treadmills is the ability to store it discreetly so it doesn't take up as much room. The Reebok 9500 is a folding treadmill, so you can fold it up into a vertical position when you are done using it. This way, your treadmill takes up less space and can be moved to a different location.
  • Built-in entertainment center. For people who want to listen to music or watch TV while they use their treadmill, this particular model features a 7-inch flat screen television, premium sound, a sub woofer, and built-in speakers.
  • Wide range of programs. The Reebok 9500 has over 35 built-in workout programs to keep your workouts challenging and varied. These include a number of weight loss programs, event training programs, and pre-set options.
  • Impressive console. The Reebok 9500 has a large, easy to read and operate console similar to those you would find on treadmills in a health club or gym. In addition, a built-in fan keeps you cool while you exercise. It also has the standard heart rate reader, calorie counter, and speed and distance displays.
  • Large belt. With treadmills, the larger the belt the better. The Reebok 9500 is good for larger exercisers, as it features a belt of 60 inches in length and 20 inches wide. This is perfect for those who have longer legs or who are a little bigger.
  • Commercial motor. The motor should be a big consideration for anyone buying a treadmill, and the Reebok 9500's commercial motor allows the treadmill to reach speeds of up to 12 mph, great for fast runners or those who want to push themselves.
  • Warranty. This particular treadmill comes with a warranty that features one year for parts and labor and 20 years for the motor. While this sounds like a lot, many other treadmills feature warranties that have 30 years for the motor and 5 years for the parts. Considering the price of the Reebok 9500 (around $2500) a longer warranty would be better.
  • Comfortable design. Running a lot can add a lot of stress on the joints, and this treadmill features Reebok's DMXT Adjustable Impact Absorption, which is supposed to protect your joints and ligaments from the constant impact of running while making your workout more comfortable.

Bottom line
Overall, the Reebok 9500 is a good treadmill that features a lot of bells and whistles. For hard core runners or people who will be using their treadmill regularly and want a lot of options they will actually use, it would be a good purchase.
For people who don't envision using all of the features the Reebok 9500 provides, or who plan to use the treadmill for just basic walking and an occasional jog, they may want to look elsewhere, as they can find other treadmills of the same quality (and even a better warranty) for less that the Reebok 9500's $2500.
