Here is a review of features versus the prices of treadmills. As you review the prices of the treadmills that are available, be aware that there is standard equipment and there is top of the line equipment. Therefore, you really do get what you pay for.

First lets take a look at the different features that will matter as you do a price comparison of the treadmills that are out there.

Horse Power

We all know that the horsepower in a car or truck really does make a big difference. Well the same is for the horsepower in a treadmill. This will be one of the biggest determining factors when you are deciding what types of work out you want to achieve.

The higher the horsepower, the higher life expectancy of the treadmill will be for the more rigorous workouts.

That is unless your treadmill has absolutely no motor at all.

Work out programs

The different work out programs offer you different challenges for your workout experience. These programs are pre-programmed into the systems of the treadmills. If you have more programs, or better-designed programs, you can obtain a higher level of success and fun with your exercising.

Running Surface

The running surface is important for the overall effectiveness and comfort of the exercise through the treadmill. This is one of the key areas to look for in the size of the treadmill you will be purchasing.

LED or LCD Display

The main thing to look at when comparing the different treadmills here is the ability to see what the display is saying. There are some displays that are light and harder to read. Do some checking on your own to see what you can see and what you cannot.

Weight Capacity

There are many of us that weigh over 200 lbs. This is something you will want to make sure that your treadmill will cover. The weight needs to be high enough that you can comfortably run on this type of surface with the weight limitations.

The other things to keep in mind while you are comparing the prices with the features of the treadmills are the warranty, the incline of either power, or manual, and a monitor for your heart rate.

There really are a few things to look at when comparing prices. You can get a good treadmill with these options for around $1000. That is with a good life expectancy, weight limits, and program options. However, of course for the best of the best when comparing, you will find that you will be looking at around $3000. The lowest prices you will be looking at for an adequate treadmill is around $500.

Around $500

The Proform 350 seems to be relatively good for the price it costs. However the Weslo Cadence C72 costs a little less and can actually offer a higher motor HP. All of these can be set up to 10 miles per hour. They have minimal work out programs, however the ones they do have are great for getting your cardio up.

The warranty for most of these is 90 days and overall there really is not a weight limit listed, so use your instincts to decide if your weight will work with these machines.

Around $1000

With this price range you will be opening the door to a few more features for your comparisons. You will be getting a higher HP for the motor, a better incline, up to 10 miles per hour and more programs that are available.

They do list a maximum weight of 350 lbs. So you know these treadmills are created to handle more weight.

The top choice for best-priced treadmills is in this category.

Around $2000

For this price range you will be able to go at a higher speed than those of the smaller systems. They are also much more sturdy. The warranties are much better. The systems can handle 350 lbs of weight and are created to last longer. Some of the bet treadmills to be gotten will be in this price range.

Over $3000

When you are looking at the treadmills in this price range, you will find you are getting the best of the best. These systems have all the best features, and are made to last. You ca easily gets 30 years use out of these systems. The programs are the best, with the idea of the greatest workouts in mind. They are specially designed for optimal workout. However, you will pay a bit for the luxuries that are offered in this price range.
