Best exercises to get rid of chipmunk cheeks

Everyone tends to carry fat in their bodies in different places. For some people, that just happens to be around the face, giving the appearance of "chipmunk cheeks." If you happen to carry weight in your face or cheeks, there could be a few reasons for this, including:
- Genetics. You may have a genetic predisposition to carry weight in your face or cheeks.
- Face shape. Round or heart-shaped faces will give the appearance of chipmunk cheeks sometimes.
- Excess weight. If you are overweight, this will definitely show in your face as well.
The first two causes of chipmunk cheeks are not easily remedied short of special surgery. But if you have chipmunk cheeks because you could stand to lose a few pounds, the following exercises will help you to burn fat, including the fat that has settled around the face:

Walking
Walking is a good exercise for beginning exercisers who want to get rid of their chipmunk cheeks. Free and easy on the joints, walking is a good alternative to running because it doesn't place the same stress on the joints. You can also tone up your entire body and increase the intensity, making it a better fat-burning workout, by speed walking or walking uphill. Make sure you're not just taking leisurely strolls, however - in order for walking to be effective in burning fat throughout the body and the face, your heart rate needs to be up for at least 30 minutes.
Jogging/Running
Jogging or running is probably the best exercise for losing fat all over the body. Running effectively burns fat all over the body, including the stubborn thunder thigh area, by getting the heart rate up quickly and burning a higher number of calories than many other exercises. If you take up running, it's important to invest in a good pair of running shoes. Many of the injuries associated with running can be remedied or prevented with a well-fitting pair of running shoes. If you are a beginner exerciser, don't jump straight into running - start with speed walking or a slow jog.
Bicycling
Biking is a good cardio exercise, particularly for people whose joints aren't up for running or other high impact exercises. This exercise works to burn fat throughout the body while as well as getting rid of the chipmunk cheeks, as the intensity and level of resistance can be adjusted accordingly, providing a more challenging workout.
Swimming
Another excellent form of cardiovascular exercise for losing weight (and your chipmunk cheeks!) is swimming. This full-body workout will also tone your muscles while reducing the fat content in your body. Swimming is good for those with joint problems, as there is no impact, or those who don't like to sweat while they work out.
In addition to the cardio exercises mentioned above, it's important to build your muscles as well. A combination of lifting weights (even light hand weights can make a big difference), doing abdominal exercises, and doing exercises such as lunges and squats will help to build muscle and continually burn fat, so you can lose your chipmunk cheeks sooner.
If you're self-conscious about chipmunk cheeks and would like to lose a little weight in the face, keep in mind that you can't spot-reduce. However, you can lose chipmunk cheeks through a combination of cardio exercising for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, and strength training 3 days a week.
