As you already know endometriosis can be quite painful and it is important for those around you to know that you have this condition so they can be supportive and helpful. Dealing with infertility is hard enough but if your employer doesn't understand that when you have pain, clotting, bloating, cramping, and bleeding that you need to spend the day at home versus trying to sit in an uncomfortable chair all day.

Changing your diet may be able to help with the pain and other symptoms of endometriosis. Many women have found that changing to a vegan diet will help to alleviate some of the problems. You don't have to completely cut out all animal products just try to limit your intake of them. Dairy products tend to be heighten the pain for most endometriosis suffers. Increase your intake of whole grain foods to see if that starts to help and do not consume processed foods and sugars. Raw vegetables and fruits can help with the pain as they give the body an extra boost of vitamins and minerals that help the body cope.

We each tolerate pain differently. Some women can deal with the pain from endometriosis with a Tylenol while the pain completely decapitates another person. Your serotonin levels can determine how well you deal with pain. A person with a higher serotonin level can cope with pain easier. To help increase your serotonin levels increase your intake of lean meats like chicken and turkey. If you are currently in the middle of pain from endometriosis, grab something sweet and suck on it. A lemon drop is a great way to quickly increase your serotonin levels and it can ease you through the pain. However, be weary about doing this often because too much sugar can make the pain from endometriosis twice as painful.

Drink more water to help flush toxins from the body. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and coffee. These drinks all stimulate the body and they are generally bad for your health. Some people turn to soda, coffee, and alcohol to ease the pain, but it actually makes it worse. Only consume them in small portions or sparingly consume them if you can't cut them out of your diet altogether.

Drinking herbal tea is one way to help you ease the pain. Teas that contain dandelion, nettle, alfalfa, and red raspberry leaf can all help to cleanse the body and reduce many of the symptoms you feel. Many women with endometriosis have even found that they are eventually able to conceive after drinking herbal teas and cleansing the body.

Getting the proper amount of rest can all help your body cope with the symptoms of endometriosis. When you are experiencing intense pain, try to go to bed to sleep through it. Try to get a consist amount of rest each night of at least 8 hours. When the body is allowed to rest properly, it can regenerate and rejuvenate itself and heal many of the cells that are irritated. Try to avoid eating or drinking for at least 3 hours before bed so the body isn't trying to digest food while you sleep.

If the pain is unbearable, try taking a sitz bath. Draw a bath of warm water and dump about 2 cups of Epsom salt into it until it has fully dissolved. Lie in the bath for about 30 minutes and sip some herbal tea while you are in there. Allowing the body to relax is a great way to cope with the pain. Since the pain is in your pelvic region, the water actually helps to cushion it and you won't focus on the pain as much.
