Fast, fun and tasty snacks, that are good for you too


What are some fast, fun, tasty snacks that are good for you? With the busy paced world we live in, it is no wonder that we turn to the snacks that are pre-made, with preservatives, and tons of salt, sugars and fats. However, if there is a way to get a fast, fun, tasty snack that is good for you in just about the same amount of time, then why not do it.

Snacks are something that should be able to be creative, healthy, fun and of course fast. So what are some options that you and your family can try? Check out these ideas and see what you find out.


Idea #1 Crackers and fixings
(You can also use bagels, bread, or tortilla pieces)

At any time, it is a good idea to have a tray of some kind in your fridge with your family's favorite fixings. This could be anything like what is on this list.

a. Olives
b. Mushrooms
c. Cheese
d. Pineapple
e. Mandarin oranges
f. Tomatoes
g. Carrots
h. Pepperonis

What ever it is that your family likes to throw on some crackers, or tortilla. If this is done once per week, the tray should stay stocked up for those fast snacks. Then it will be fun to use each person's creativity to design his or her one treat. They can make is a sweet treat with the fruit, or it could be a spicy treat with some pizza sauce or salsa.

Idea #2 Fruit bowl

When you think about how good fruit is for your body, you will realize that in so many situations the fruit is something that helps more than many other foods. Therefore the more fruit you getting into your families bodies, the better immune system, digestive system etc you family will have. So making a good fruit bowl is another fast snack that is tasty and fast.

Here are some ideas that you can use for your families fruit bowl. The thing about a fruit bowl is that they usually only last a couple days. So you would need to make a new one, or switch it with a different snack after a couple days. The key is keeping the lid tight on the bowl.

You could include.

a. Watermelon
b. Cantaloupe
c. Honey dew melon
d. Guava
e. Papaya
f. Apples
g. Oranges
h. Bananas (though these brown when refrigerated)
i. Strawberries
j. Raspberries
k. Blue berries

There are many fruits that would go great in a quick fruit salad. There is also no need for sweeteners or preservatives because as long as it is eaten in a couple days time and the container is airtight, the fruit will maintain a good level of freshness.

Idea #3 Peanut butter and veggies, fruits, and or crackers

Peanut butter is something that can be eaten on most anything. This is because it has a flavor that goes good with both sweet things and salty things. So for this idea, you will need a jar of peanut butter, either chunky or smooth. Then you will want to have any of these items ready for the dipping or sliding on.

c. Corn bread
d. Apples
e. Carrots
f. Celery
g. Bananas

With all the foods out there, it is easy to get snacks that are hard on our bodies to digest, and entirely to fatty or salty for our body's good health. Taking a few minutes to throw together a simple, fast, and tasty snack that is good for you too is the key to better health.
