Feeling fit with less than 30 minutes a day

Start with a walk. A good brisk walk for 30 minutes or less a day will help you to be fit. If you are new to exercise then start out slow and work up to 30 minutes a day. Feeling fit will come as you continue to walk and even increase your pace as time goes on. You won't have to increase your time, just the pace you walk to stay feeling fit in less than 30 minutes a day. You may even get into jogging or running if you like to.

If walking is not your style then go on to a workout routine. There are many routines available to choose from. Some great routines that can be done in 30 minute or less and will leave you feeling fit all day are, Pilates and yoga. There are DVDs that have different levels of experience that you can adapt to you workout needs. These 20 -30 minute workout routines will give your total body a workout and leave you feeling fit in less than 30 minutes a day.

Sometimes people have to workout at work or on their lunch hour and need to be feeling fit in less than 30 minutes so they can get back to work. Here is a great 30-minute lunchtime workout; it works if you have a gym at your work place or nearby. Begin with a 3-5 minute warm-up to get your heart rate going. The key is to go from one exercise to the next without stopping.

You could start with lunges and squats for your legs and then as soon as they are getting tired, move quickly to upper body, get some hand weights to press with. Then continue the cycle until you are at your 5 minute warm-up. After your warm-up, get right into the workout of your choice. The key to feeling fit in less than 30 minutes is to stay moving for the whole time that you have. If you only have 30 minutes or less to warm-up and workout because you need to have time to get cleaned up, then you need to exercise constantly for the whole 30 minutes or less that you have to workout.

There is also the exercise ball that you can use so you are feeling fit in less than 30 minutes a day. With the exercise ball, you will have a 2 minute warm-up that you will vigorously walk in place with high knees and swinging arms. Then do pushups while on top of the ball and roll into a frog to the side of the ball. Do this 15 times and then go into side crunches that are supported by the ball. This is done 15 times as well and then you go to reverse rolling planks, which is you on your back rolling the ball in and out while up in the plank position. Do this 15 times and then repeat all four positions 2 more times. Do these quickly and you will be feeling fit in less than 30 minutes a day.

Jump rope is also a great way for you to stay feeling fit with less than 30 minute a day. You can do a jump rope routine and begin with 1-minute warm-up swinging the rope in a figure 8. Then go into 2 minutes of two footed jumping then one minute of just swinging the rope. Next do 2 minutes of two footed jumping, hopping back and forth, then 1 minute of swinging. After that go into 2 minutes of running jumping then one minute of swinging. Go to 2 minutes of two footed jumping and 2 minutes of swinging and then finish with 2 minutes of two footed jumping.

Whatever exercise you do, any will help you to stay feeling fit in less than 30 minutes a day. Try one or two, even alternate between a couple different ones. When you are crunched for time you will want to plan ahead and make the most of your less than 30 minutes of feeling fit exercise.
