Fighting acne from the start, tips and tricks

If you're someone that suffers from acne then you know how hard it is to treat and find ways to help prevent it from occurring. Acne can be a frustrating part of life; fortunately it's not a lost cause. Here are some tips and tricks to fighting acne right from the start.
Tip #1: Keep your face clean
It sounds like a simple enough thing to do, but you'd be surprised how dirty your face is at the end of the day. Without knowing it, you probably touch your face more than at least 50 times a day. And who knows what your hands come in contact with before they touch your face. Think about how many times you use the rest room or touch things in a store that thousands of other people have touched also. Germs are everywhere, and when they get onto your face they can cause some major breakouts. It's always a good idea to wash your face with a good cleanser in the morning and every night to get rid of the germs, and extra oils that accumulate. Another little tip is to carry oil absorbing papers with you so that throughout the day you can clean away the dirt and oil and keep your face and pores open so they can breathe.

Tip #2: Keep your hands away from your face
We have already mentioned the importance of keeping your hands away from your face. If you actually knew how many germs and how much dirt and grime got onto your hands in one day you'd never touch any part of your body without first washing it with a serious anti-bacterial cleansing soap. And if you could see everything on your hands you would know why touching your face makes it break out. If you just can't keep your hands away from your face then at least keep a hand sanitizer around so you're hands can stay somewhat clean.
Tip #3: See a Dermatologist
If it seems like your acne is out of control and cleansers aren't helping, make an appointment to see a dermatologist. A dermatologist specializes in helping with skin issues, from dry skin to acne. They will be able to either steer you in a better direction for over the counter products, or prescribe something a little stronger to help get rid of and prevent the problem.
Tip #4: Maintain a healthy diet
Some people believe that eating too much junk food, or too much chocolate can cause acne. While eating unhealthy foods will not directly cause acne or break outs, unhealthy eating habits will definitely cause changes in your body resulting in skin break outs. Maintaining a healthy diet is an important part of being healthy, keeping skin blemish free, and fighting acne. So just because poor eating habits will not give you acne, doesn't mean they don't play a role in the development. Maintain a healthy diet.
Tip #5: Find a good concealer
A small tip for women who are suffering form acne is to get a good concealer. While you can't cover up your entire face, you can buy a good concealer to cover up the worst spots and blotches.
Tip #6: Using commercial products
There are a few different types of product out on the market today that claim to totally get rid of acne and clear up any type of skin. The only way to really know if they work is to test them, but be careful about what types of ingredients they use as some may be harmful to your skin.
These tips and tricks for fighting acne form the start can help you avoid severe acne breakouts and eventually get your skin looking the way you want; beautiful.
