First and foremost it reduces your stress. If you can learn to relax, you will be better at eliminating stress. This improves your health as stress causes your blood pressure to increase and your immune system to weaken. So, get rid of stress through relaxation and you will be healthier. However, getting rid of stress can also make your better looking and more fit. How? Well stress creates worry, wrinkles, and often times makes your hormones go crazy which can lead to break outs on your skin, etc. So, relax and you eliminate that. Also if you are stressed out it is harder to get out there and exercise, so get rid of stress, and your motivation to be physically fit increases.

Second, relaxing means getting rejuvenated. Someone who can learn to take time out for them will be healthier just because of the fact that your body needs rest and relaxation. When you find the time to do this you give yourself a mental boost. It is like taking a vacation for your mind. It allows you to come back to your task refreshed and ready to work hard. So, for example, if you find the time to relax, your will have improved health because you will have the mental capacity and fortitude to make wise diet choices. You will be smart enough, and have enough will power and energy to pick the salad over the bacon cheese burger. You will be more beautiful because you won't be too tired or worn out to take time on yourself. You will actually care about your looks, your hair, your make-up, your clothing choices. You will be more fit because you will have the motivation and energy to put down the remote and pick up the weights, or go for a jog, or whatever other form of exercise you enjoy.
