Flat belly exercises

We all want those great flat stomachs the models have, with great muscles, and great tone. However, you can't get a flat stomach by watching infomercials about belly flatteners. Instead, you have to actually do the work, but even performing a million sit ups and crunches every day will not get you the coveted six pack abs.

Part of getting a flat stomach means you need to be thin in other places as well. So, start by getting your diet right. Correct eating habit and nutrition is the most important factor in getting a flat stomach. If you are pounding down the ding dongs, you are going to have a hard time getting a flat stomach. One thing you need to do to lose weight is control your blood sugar levels. You can't lose body fat if you do not do this. So, eat right, and eat often. We have all heard it, eat five to six meals small meals per day, not three large ones.


The next thing you will want to do if you want to get a flat stomach is to cut your carbs down a little so that your body does not have those to burn and can start burning the layer of fat on your stomach. However, do not cut too much. In the first week you may loose up to 5 pounds, but after that if you do lose weight it should only be one or two pounds a week. If you lose more than that you are losing the muscles that should be turned into those great abs.

Avoid sugar laden drinks such as soft drinks or coffee with cream and sugar as these drinks are chock full of calories, and won't help your stomach get flat.

Once you get the diet down, then sit ups and crunches, and other abdominal exercises are going to start benefiting you. You can start to get that flat stomach look. Of course, you need to do more than just sit ups. A great exercise choice is to do cardio. Go for a job, do some aerobics, dance like a fool in your underwear. Just get moving and move for at least 30 minutes a day.

Obviously getting a flat stomach is not easy, if it was easy, everyone would have one, and obviously that is not the case. If you are really serious about getting a flat stomach you need to take some steps toward getting them, and that does not happen haphazardly. You have to be committed to it, and put that commitment into a plan. So write out a plan, prepare a menu that will help you eat healthy foods and in the right quantities so that you can burn fat and build muscle.

Make sure that on your quest for a flat belly that you do not get fooled into spending untold sums of money on the quick fix machines. You can get the same abs with no equipment with the right determination and a plan. If you think you are going to get your abs flat and get a great belly in a matter of a few weeks you are sure to be disappointed. You of course want to have high hopes, but of course, do not jump the gun on when your tummy will be flat. If you set the time line too soon, you will find that your disappointment might cause you to stop trying, when it should be the opposite. You should work harder because you get closer every day.
