It is important for many people in the world to be healthy. Many people want to get healthy and stay healthy. This includes healthy joints, and they want tips and tricks too help their joints be healthy. Healthy joints allow more movement for any person. This is important to many people who want to be healthy especially in their old age.

Healthy joints can provide the freedom needed for an active life. Healthy joints also minimize pain now and later. There are some tips and tricks that can help maintain healthy joints. There are three main tips or tricks that a person should remember when trying to get healthy joints.

1. Get some exercise.
2. Ice the joints.
3. Maintain a healthy weight.

The first tip is not a trick, but more of a lifestyle choice. Get some exercise. Using the joints keeps them from getting stiff. Stiff joints do not allow for movement. The lack of movement in joints means less and less activity in a person's body. This will cause pain in the joints, which nobody want really,

Exercise needs to be varied to maximize the benefit on joints. There are three different types of exercises that a person could do to keep their joints healthy. The first type is aerobic exercise that is low impact and will allow the joints movement without strain. These exercises should be like swimming, walking or easy cycling. To have the best benefit a person should try to do these smooth movement exercises twice a week.

The next exercise tip that will help the joints be healthy are to do some exercises that will strengthen the joints and the body. These exercises can include lifting weights or doing high-energy workouts, like Pilates or kickboxing. Try to do these two times a week. For those that may not be able to get up and do strenuous strengthening exercises, try some strengthening exercises that may be low impact. This may include sitting in a chair and using weights or a water bottle to begin strengthening the joints. Or begin with simple household chores and make big movements while doing them.

The next exercise that should be done to get healthy joints is some stretching and relaxing exercises. This may mean some type of Yoga routine, or simple self made routine which allows the joints and the body to be stretched. A person needs to get the neck, shoulders, arms, wrists, fingers, back, hips, knees and legs stretched. This should be done throughout the week. All three exercises should be done alternatively and should not overdo the body.

The next trick that will contribute to healthy joints is to ice the joints. This is especially true of joints after they have been exercised and are sore. The ice will prevent swelling and can help ease the pain that a person might be feeling with their joints.

The next tip is to maintain a healthy weight. The trick a body has to accomplish is to carry so much weight on little joints. This is especially true for knees. Knees support your whole body weight. The more weight there is for the knees to carry the more the cushion provided by the cartilage gets worn down and results in pain. Loosing just 11 pounds can decrease the arthritis pain in a woman by 50%. That is a lot of pain relief.

For the many men and women that want to have, keep, or get healthy joints, they can try these tips and tricks. To begin with the first tip may require some major lifestyle changes, but a person needs to get some exercise that will strengthen and stretch the joints. The next trick is to put ice on the joints. This helps with swelling and pain. The third tip is to try and get to a healthy weight so that the joints do have to carry excess weight and get worn down and unhealthy.
