How aerobics helps your heart

One of the best things about aerobics is that it is one of the only forms of exercise that is designed to give you a cardiovascular workout. This workout is designed to workout your heart by strengthen it and helping it to work efficiently. The reason that strengthen your heart causes it to work efficiently is that as you do aerobics the size of your heart is going to increase a little bit, which is going to cause it to beat slower and to work more efficiently. But the good news is that increasing the size of your heart is not the only way that aerobics can help your heart, although that is one of the most important reasons. There are plenty of other ways that aerobics can help your heart.

Here are some of the other ways that aerobics helps your heart.

  • One of the ways that aerobics helps your heart is that it provides you with a great high calorie burning workout, no matter what level of aerobics you are doing. In a normal fifty minute aerobic workout you can burn anywhere from 250 to 400 calories, how much you actually burn depends on your weight and your level of exertion. And one of the best things about burning calories is that you are burning fat at the same time which means it can help you to lose weight. And the less you weigh the less your heart has to work to carry blood and oxygen to your body.
  • Another way that aerobics helps your heart is that it is providing you with a cardiovascular workout which can help to decrease the risk of heart disease, including heart attacks. The reason that it helps to decrease the chance of heart disease is that when doing aerobics you are building up your cardiovascular endurance, which is improving your heart overall. This means that your heart will work better and more efficiently than before. Not to mention that it has been proven that aerobics is a great way to control anxiety and obtain a lowered resting heart rate.
  • Although this is a mind benefit of aerobics it can still help your heart because it can help to reduce the feelings of depression, as well as reduce the tension that is associated with anxiety. But not only that aerobics can actually make you feel more relaxed, which will help to keep your heart rate at lower resting levels even when you become stressed.
  • Another way that aerobics helps your heart is that you are going to be able to increase the levels of your good cholesterol and decrease the levels of bad cholesterol. It has been proven that step aerobics is one of the best ways to increase your good cholesterol levels because of how vigorous of a workout it is and the more vigorous the workout the better your chances of increasing your levels of good cholesterol. So this means that if you are doing water aerobics or regular aerobics you need to perform as vigorous of a workout as step aerobics provides to get the good cholesterol up. And the best news about lowering your bad cholesterol and increasing your good cholesterol is that there is going to be less buildup of plaque in your arteries, which will help to keep them clear.

Just keep in mind that these are only some of the ways that aerobics can help your heart. The main point is that aerobics will actually help you to become physically fit and everything about your body will effect your heart.
