How to get rid of the bags under your eyes

Appearance is something that most people care a lot about. Having big black sacks or bags under your eyes is not attractive. The following are some tips for how to get rid of the bags under your eyes:
- Get enough sleep. The surest way to not have bas under your eyes is to get sufficient sleep. Going to bed by ten, and getting at least eight hours of sleep each night is going to keep your eyes bag free, unless of course you sleep poorly. However, the reality of life is that we never get enough sleep. Even on the days we do get more than eight hours, we tend to make up for it a few days later by getting three or four hours. But, if you are looking for the cure to bags under the eyes, this is it! So, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite. On nights when enough sleep is just not possible, try taking a short nap during the day, or go to bed early that night. This is good for your health as well as your eyes.

- Cucumbers. A lot of people think about the spa commercials where the lady has on a green mask and cucumbers on her closed eyes when they think of getting rid of bags. This does work. Cucumbers have the ability to help you get rid of the bags under your eyes, but are not meant to be a cure all. In fact, they should be used for eyes that have small bags, not people who have prolonged periods of time with little sleep, or other stress factors which cause the bags. For a quick fix before you run out the door in the morning, you could try cucumbers.
- Cold press. To get rid of the bags under your eyes, you pretty much just need to have something cold and apply a little pressure. The puffy red eyes can be calmed by a cold press, but not cured by one. So, use this to treat some of the symptoms of under eye bags, but use sleep as the cure all.
- Make-up. Make-up will not get rid of the bags under your eyes, but it can make them significantly less noticeable. So, if you suffer from lack of sleep, and it manifests itself by bags under the eyes, you may want to get a little concealer, foundation, powder, and other makeup essentials that help with making those dark circles blend with the rest of your face.
If you have bags under your eyes, chances are you want to get rid of them. You probably know that the only long term solution is to get plenty of rest, but you probably also know how busy you are, and how not realistic it would be to count on that for getting rid of those dark circles. So, you have to choose another course. Some people will find a favorite method of getting rid of under eye bags and stick with it. Others will try many or all of the above, while still others use a combination. For example, you may wake up to find bags under your eyes so you use cucumbers to lessen the puffiness, then cover the dark circles with make-up. Just cucumbers alone can't hide the fact because you still have dark, and just makeup alone can't hide the fact because you still have puffy, so why not try for both?
