There are six essential nutrients that your body will need. They are, proteins, carbohydrates, fats and oils, minerals, vitamins, and water. If you can get some of each of these a day you can get your essential nutrients when you live a hectic life.

So begin with protein. Protein is an essential nutrient and you can get it in your hectic life by eating meat, fish, poultry and eggs for the best source of protein. Fats and oils don't sound essential or like nutrients, but they are essential to a body's energy level. The fats and oils also make certain vitamins available to the body. Fats and oils can usually be eaten easily. But do try not to eat too much.

Minerals are an essential nutrient but is not animal or vegetable. Most foods contribute to the minerals that a body needs. If you can eat food in their natural state then you can more easily get the minerals you need when you live a hectic life. Iron is an important mineral that young children, young women and women usually need more of. Calcium is also an essential nutrient mineral and every one needs lots of calcium.

Vitamins are on the need to have list for everyone. Some need more vitamins than others and some need more of certain vitamins than others. Vitamins can best be assimilated into your body by eating foods that are fresh and close to their natural state. Try eating raw vegetables and fresh fruits while you are running errands.

If you cannot get the minerals and vitamins that you need by eating foods then you could try taking vitamin supplements. These supplements can be taken by specific vitamins instead of a multiple vitamin to give you the best results.

Water is a very essential nutrient to every body. If you are trying to get your essential nutrient water and you live a hectic life, you can try carrying around a water bottle. Take sips all day long. If you feel hungry take a drink of water first. To make sure you get enough water you can get an one liter bottle and fill it at least twice a day.

It is also important to know that if you are going to skip a meal then take a healthy snack that will provide some nutrients for the day.
