So here are a few tips to help you use your treadmill to its best advantage.

Common and avoidable treadmill mistakes

  1. Getting onto the treadmill improperly Many people start off on the wrong foot with their treadmill workout right at the beginning! They start up the treadmill at full speed, and then just try to jump right on. The right way to get on your treadmill is to stand with one foot on each side of the treadmill. Then start the treadmill at a slow rate-there's no reason to start it at a fast one. Then carefully get on. Don't increase the speed of your treadmill until you are safely on and comfortable at the starting speed.
  2. Don't take such big steps!
Many people make their next treadmill mistake right after they get on the treadmill. And this mistake continues through the entire workout. The mistake is taking too large of strides. Many people take strides that are too long in an attempt to walk faster. Your front heel hits the ground far in front of your body. The real way to walk quickly is to make sure that your front heel hits the ground close to your body, while you keep your back foot on the ground longer so that it can give you a powerful push off. This push off will help you develop your muscles better and will give you more power. So start off by just taking shorter steps and concentrating on your push off. Then you will be able to gradually become more comfortable with your stride and you will be able to walk faster.

How to improve your treadmill workout through different exercises

Many people find that their treadmill workouts end up becoming quite boring very quickly. Duration

It is quite simple to change the duration of your workout by increasing the amount of time that you spend working out on your treadmill. For example: do workouts of 30 minutes for several weeks. Then move up to 45 minutes and then 60 minutes for at least one workout a week.

The most important tip is to have fun with your workout!
