Of course the most obvious difference between the two is that one is done on land and one is done in the water. When you do land aerobics you can go for a nice run, keeping a steady pace and your hear rate between 60-80%. If you do not want to run you can walk, keeping a steady pace. Running or walking would be good for people who enjoy their workout by themselves. If you prefer to be around people when you workout then you can join an aerobics class. During your aerobics class you can do a high intensity workout or a low intensity workout. All you will have to do is follow the instructions given by your aerobics teacher. You will probably do a series of aerobics steps, targeting certain parts of your body. If you are unable to follow the steps you can march in place until you are ready to try and join the class again. You should never just stop your workout; you should always have a cool down session. If you stop your workout immediately you risk the chance of becoming dizzy, you may even hurt yourself.
When you do water aerobics you have more resistance on your body so you will have more results. You will do arm movements with water weights. You will use several different water tools to help increase muscle mass and endurance. You will also be able to do some lunges and squats in the water. Some of your steps for water aerobics will be the same as the ones you do on land, of course since it is harder to move in the water your steps will be restricted. Water aerobics is fun and will keep you cool while you work out. Be sure that you know how to swim, and that water doesn't frighten you.
So the difference between water and land aerobics is that one is on land and one is in the water. You can enjoy both activities the same. It is your person preference when you choose to do either water aerobics or land aerobics. Be sure that you are in fit physical condition to do a either a high intensity workout or a low intensity workout. If you feel that you are unable to workout consult your doctor. Remember to always enjoy your workout because it is a good idea to do it frequently. To help motivate you, you should bring a friend with you to your aerobics class, make it passion to share between you.
