Natural health tips

Many people struggle with health, and visit their doctor regularly. In general your doctor is going to recommend a healthier lifestyle, and will likely prescribe you a medication or treatment to help you deal with symptoms until that healthier lifestyle can be obtained. The biggest problem with this is that once people start feeling better (often due to the medication) they stop trying to be healthier. So, for a while, as long as they keep taking medicine they will feel fine, but the problems do not actually go away. As people start to recognize this cycle they are turning to natural health remedies and are looking for ways to feel good naturally, without medication. The following are some natural health tips:

- Eat a healthy diet filled with the right nutrients and vitamins: If you want your body to feel good and work properly you need to supply it with the right fuels, which means watch what you put into your body. Diets that are high in caffeinated sodas, sweets, refined and processed foods, etc. place undue burden on the body, and eventually it gets sick as a way of telling you that it needs you to slow down and it needs a chance to recover. So, focus on the following: Increase your intake of greens. Increase your intake of fresh foods, especially fruits and vegetables. Increase the whole grains you eat. Decrease the fats. Decrease the sugars. Decrease the oils. Use organic foods when possible so that you eliminate unnecessary and harmful hormones and chemicals from your body.
- Supplement: If you are lacking in your diet, supplement it with natural multi-vitamin supplement, but be sure that you do not use this supplement in place of a healthy diet, rather as a way to fill in any holes there may be. Some supplements are more harmful then helpful so be wise in your supplement selection.
- Get plenty of rest: If you want to be healthy naturally you have to avoid the tendency many of us have to push ourselves until we break. It is fine to get up at the crack of dawn to work, study, etc. but not if you went to bed at 2 in the morning. Getting sufficient sleep is essential for our bodies to be able to regenerate and refresh itself for the upcoming day. Always strive to get 8 hours, and listen to your body's needs. If you are going through a particularly stressful or busy time your body may need more rest.
- Drink plenty of water: dehydration often leads to other health problems, and it makes it difficult for the body to function properly. Instead of the vibrancy your body should have it will feel slow and sluggish. Do not hydrate on coffee, soda, and sugared drinks, instead drink plenty of purified water, and then enjoy 100% fruit and vegetable juices in addition to that.
- Get sunshine. The sun, while it can be harmful to the skin, is also incredibly vital to natural health. You can't get the right amount of Vitamin D without help from the sun. So, be sure to spend at least 15 minutes outdoors each day, breath the fresh air, and let your skin soak in a little sun. It is okay to wear a sunblock in order to protect your self from UV rays, but do not avoid the sun altogether.
- Exercise. This is essential to natural health. It keeps muscles like the heart strong and working properly. It helps with circulation and blood flow. It helps your body flush out toxins and other harmful substances. It helps you sleep better. It gives you stamina and endurance. It is all around beneficial as long as you do not over do it. So, get 30 minutes 5 times a week for optimal natural health.
