Reason one:
You should get physically fit and stay physically fit because it will help to increase your bone density and it can help to limit osteoporosis. More and more people each year are becoming affected by osteoporosis, and more people are becoming affected by low bone mass, which simply puts them at risk for this disease. In order to help increase your bone strength the best kind of exercises that you can do are weight-bearing exercises, such as walking or jogging. You can also do some resistance exercises, which includes lifting weights to help improve bone strength. The important thing to know is to stay active to help keep your bones strong.

Reason two:
Getting and staying in shape is a great way for you to help stay independent, as you get older. For most people, the older they get the weaker they get, which means that they have to rely on other people to help them out. If you stop exercising because you do not care about what happens to you as you, get older you have a higher chance of becoming disabled.

Reason three:
Exercising is a sure fire way to increase your metabolism, which is what you need to help you lose weight and stay fit. Metabolism is what is in charge of handling how your body uses the nutrients that you provide through eating a healthy diet. When you are exercising the key to staying fit is to participate in exercises that are designed to increase your metabolism. You want to increase your metabolism because the higher your metabolism rate the more calories you will burn while exercising.

Reason four:
Getting physically fit will also help prevent you from falling because you will be able to keep your balance better, and you will be adept at reacting to things that are around you. Getting into shape is also another way to ensure that your muscles stay fit, as you get older. By not getting in shape and staying in shape you run the risk of your muscle fitness declining, as you get older, which makes it harder for you to get around and do things because you no longer have the muscle strength.

Reason five:
One of the better reasons for getting into shape is that it gives an excuse to be social. Getting into shape involves joining a gym or even an exercise class, which means you, will be exposed to a group of people. Coming into contact with new people means that you are going to make new friends, better yet you can get your old friends to join you in the classes.

Reason six:
Getting into shape is not only good for you physically; it is also good for you mentally. The reason for this is that exercising is a great stimulate for your mind, it actually has good effects on your mind. It has been shown through numerous studies that exercise can help fight off depression, but it can also lift your self-esteem. The reason for all of this is that when you are active your think better of yourself, you think that you can do almost anything. Not only is getting physically fit good for your mind but it is good for your entire body. Getting physically fit can help improve the condition of your heart and keep it in good shape, but it can also help prevent certain diseases, such as diabetes.
