When it comes to water aerobics there are many types of equipment that you can buy to make your workout harder, which will help you to improve at water aerobics. But there are also numerous things that you can use to improve your water aerobics that you just having lying around your house. The main key is that there are going to need to help you increase the resistance you are already facing in the water, and they are going to need to float.
Here are some things that you might have around the house that can improve your water aerobics.

Tip one:
If you have any kind of empty plastic bottles with lids these can be a great tool to use in water aerobics. Your best bet is to have various sizes of plastic bottles so that you can increase the sizes as you improve at water aerobics. What you are going to need to do is to fill the bottles with water so that you can use them to create more resistance in the water. Keep in mind the resistance will be in addition to the resistance you are already facing in the water.
Tip two:
Any kind of flotation ball, perhaps your child has a beach ball or a regular ball. This is a great substitute for buying an aqua ball, which is what many water aerobics instructor uses. With the ball you are going to want one that floats in the water and that is not super easy to push under the water. What you are going to be doing is trying to push the ball underneath the water.
Tip three:
Rather than having a flotation vest or belt if you have an old life jacket lying around the house you can use that to help you keep your balance in deeper water. This will make it easier to perform the water aerobics in deep water because you won't be trying to tread water and perform aerobics.
Tip four:
Many people will buy water resistance gloves, or Web Gloves, to use in their water aerobics workout because it allows you to grip the equipment without losing your grip because your hands are slippery from water. But the extra weight also acts as even more resistance. Instead of buying a pair of gloves you can actually use a pair of your dish gloves that you have lying around the house. What you are going to want to do is to cut off the finger tips of the gloves so that you can still use your fingers to grip, but the palm of the glove will act as the gripper.
Tip five:
If you want to add weights to your water aerobics you can use washcloths or hand towels that you tie around your ankles or wrists. When the material gets wet it is going to be heavier which is going to increase your resistance in the water and provide you with a tougher workout.
Just remember that there are all sorts of things that you can use to help improve your water aerobics workout. If you already have a pool you can simply use your children's pool toys to aid you in your workout. But if you don't have pool toys you are going to have to buy some things such as a kickboard and perhaps a noodle or two. The reason for this is because they are designed to help support your weight while you are in the water, if you have some foam lying around the house you can always make your own kickboards and noodles. But most people just prefer to buy them because it is easier than making your own.
