Have you been looking at tips for tighter abs? So many people desire the famous six-pack look, but there are some people that want tighter abs and not necessarily six pack abs. The main tip for tighter abs is to exercise. Nothing else will tighten abs as well as exercise. There are many ways to exercise for tighter abs. There are the old fashioned crunches. But this has been revamped and revised by many exercise specialists and alone is not be the most effective. There is fun and inventive ways like dancing. Belly dancing especially does a great job for tighter abs. Then there are the exercise techniques like Pilates that concentrate on the core of the body. There are of course many different ways to tighten abs and there have been mini exercises put out for the public to make use of for quick tighter abs.

So to begin with, is used to be thought that multiple sit-ups or crunches would make the best abs a body could have. This is old fashioned in the tips for tighter abs. Sit-ups and crunches are good for tighter abs, but need to be combined with improvements for maximum results. It is better to sit up and turn so the body can strengthen the sides of the abs as well as the front. This will tighten the abs all around and give the middle section a great look and feel instead of just the front 8 inches of the stomach area. Also when doing sit-ups or crunches (which are pretty much the same thing) try a little weight resistance. Hold weights in the hands while rotating the torso and going up and down for the sit-up. This will give the whole abs area a tighter look and feel.

Belly dancing has become a great and attainable way to tighter abs. There are videos, classes and TV series that specialize in belly dancing. Belly dancing exercise will tighten the whole mid-section of a body and make it look so toned and great. Belly dancing uses breathing and perfected dance steps to improve a person's health as well as tighten the abs. Belly dancing has been around for ages and is now an option for anyone to exercise with and make use of. Belly dancing really works the abs and makes them tighter.

If a person is looking for tighter abs, try a Pilates work out. Pilates concentrates on the core of the body. The core is the stomach area and all around the backside. Pilates will strengthen the back as well as the whole body while getting tighter abs. With Pilates every exercise move is based around the core. If the core or the abs of a body are strong then the body is healthy and tight. There are many ways to tighten the abs through a Plates workout. Pilates will use the core to accomplish nearly every other move to improve the body's health. This means the abs get more of a work out and are tighter because of it.

There are of course small and quick exercise moves that can result in tighter abs. Magazines come out with 6-minute ab workouts all the time. Is what they do is condense some of the moves form Pilates, Yoga, or belly dancing and give them to the reader in a quick 6 minute workout session. These usually do work for tighter abs. Keep in mind that they are not a full workout and the entire ab area may not get the tightening needed to have great looking abs. They are a good place to start for tighter abs, and will get the reader going in the right direction.

There is mainly one tip for tighter abs and that is to exercise. There are however many ways to exercise for tighter abs. There are crunches with twists or weights added for maximum results. There are exercise workouts like belly dancing and Plates that give a person a whole workout to tighten the total abs area. There are also quick exercise tips to get started on tighter abs.
