fruit63316709.jpgWeight Watchers is one of the oldest diet plans out there, which means it is also one of the best diet plans out there. The cost for Weight Watchers is about $20 to join; this can vary though if specials are being offered. During certain times of the year, beginning of the year is a big one, Weight Watchers offers a discount on the initial membership fee just to get people to join, and they even waive the fee at times. Once you have become a member you are going to pay an additional $9 a week just to stay in the program, plus the cost of food. If you join their online program, you will have a start up fee of $29.95, which can also vary depending on the time of year. The online program is going to cost $16.95 a month, unless you sign up for a different billing plan.

One of the main reasons that Weight Watchers is such as successful program is that it provides its members with a program that includes well balanced diet along with a healthy lifestyle. Weight watchers does not just focus on eating right and forget about everything else. The program provides you with certain foods that you can buy or you can simply use recipes that they provide you with to cook your own food. The main focus on the food is making sure that you eating smart. You will need to keep track of all of the food that you eat in a day by using the Point Plan. With the Point Plan, you are restricted to a certain number of calories each day, once you have reached that limit you are not supposed to consume any more calories.

One thing about this program that many people do not agree with is the Point Plan. Many critics of the program think that by counting calories you are not eating right; it is just a different way to limit the food you are taking in. These critics feel that in order to lose weight you need to be taught the right foods to eat and the foods that you need to stay away from. Despite this, counting calories does help teach you this lesson because if you eat something that is considered bad for you, you will not be able to eat as much during the day because it will use up a large portion of your calories for the day. Despite what critics have said the Weight Watchers program is one of the most successfully, weight loss programs out there, because people actually manage to lose weight with it.

Another thing that some people have a problem with in Weight Watchers is that it relies heavily on meetings for support. You are encouraged to go to local meetings at least once a week so that you can check in with other people to see how everybody is doing. Also during the meetings you will be weighed to see if you are obtaining your weight loss goals, the weigh ins are a great way to see if you are on track or not. Something else that can cause a problem with Weight Watchers is that you can only do in person meetings or online meetings, you cannot do both unless you pay for both. This is one of the biggest drawbacks because your membership does not cover or, it is simply one or the other, which is not easy for most people.

On a good note though is the wide variety of diets that Weight Watchers provides their members with, Anybody, even people looking for a kosher diet, can find a program that will work for them.
