What to expect to pay for a treadmill? This question really comes down to how much you want to or can afford to spend for a treadmill. Treadmills can come in any amount from $500 to $3000 and up.

As you are looking at the different treadmills, you will find that each of these different prices come with different features, warranty options, and even styles. So the main thing to look at before you purchase your new treadmill is how much you want to pay, and will the treadmill you purchase for that prices meet your needs.

This is where it gets a little hard to decide. Because the main factors that are important for you may cost you more than you originally planned. The prices of treadmills can vary dramatically. However, her is a basic idea of what you need to expect to pay for some of these specific features.

One of the first factors to take into consideration for the price you will be paying for a treadmill is the horsepower. The reason is that different styles and qualities of treadmills are made with more powerful motors, i.e. horsepower.

The higher the horsepower a treadmill has, the longer life those treadmills with have. This also works the same with the ability of weight resistance, structure and strength that the treadmill will have.

After you look at the motor and horsepower of the treadmill, you will want to look at the weight limit of the treadmill. There are some treadmills that are made for up to 350 lbs, and some of the lower quality treadmills that would have a hard time lasting with 250 lbs. The belts, wheels and motors are not set up for the weight.

The other factor that is taken into consideration with the pricing and design of a treadmill is the warranty, quality, programming, function ability and size. These factors will be more common with the similarly priced treadmills.

Each of the different varieties of these features and qualities will increase or decrease the price of the treadmill. Take a look at what the different options and features cost.

For about $500 you can get a treadmill like the ProForm 350 or the Weslo Cadence C72. These are both decent treadmills that have adequate features for the price. When you do some looking around and price watching you can find that there are good treadmills that have a decent horsepower for a low price.

The main thing you will see as a difference is the track size, weight limits and warranties. The programs that are set, are pretty decent even in the lower price range. You may only get eight, however for the most part that is enough for most people.

When you look up to the $1000 price range, you are looking at a higher quality machine that can support higher weight limits and also have a wider track for walking and running. The warranties can also last longer.

You will be looking at around 8-10 programs, and a longer lasing belt, wheel and motor set up. There are plenty of treadmills that are of a good quality build for anywhere around $1000 to $2000 dollars.

As you increase in price you will increase with the quality. The overall quality being better, will of course offer longer warranties. In the higher price ranges, you will find a 30 year warranty is pretty common.

These systems that are around $3000 will easily have 15 programs. The will have longer and wider tracks, and much more horsepower.

This is the price range you should expect to pay for a treadmill. The main thing is that you will want to purchase a treadmill that will meet your needs. Overall you can find a cheep treadmill, however keep in mind that you will get what you pay for.
