Why real men take care of their skin

dr16355246.jpg There are a number of different reasons why men should care about skin care. While most men don't ever think about their skin care past the days when they actually have to shave, it is absolutely central to the health of any man to take care of his skin. Why? Because there are a lot of dangers that are associated with not taking care of one's skin, including cancer. Also, skin is the body's first line of defense against disease, germs, and different kinds of sickness. So it is important to take care of your skin so that it can continue to provide you with the protection that it is designed to provide your body.

1. Proper skin care can help prevent the development of skin cancer

Skin cancer is much more prevalent than many people disease. Skin cancer is also much more deadly than most people believe. In addition, while many people believe for whatever reason that they are protected against skin cancer, skin cancer is actually much more easy to develop than the majority of people believe.
There are two types of ultraviolet rays that are emitted by the sun: UVA rays and UVB rays. Both UVA rays and UVB rays are incredibly harmful to our skin. UVA rays and UVB rays can harm your skin and will cause you develop deep and permanent wrinkles. Also, both UVA rays and UVB rays will make your skin rough and dry. UVA rays and UVB rays will dry out your skin, can also help cause and contribute to liver spots, and can also lead to cancer.

If you have any moles on your skin, or if you have any family history of developing skin cancer, whether squamous cell skin cancer or melanoma, then you should be extra careful with your skin because you have an even higher chance of developing skin cancer. Also, if you live in any area that receives a lot of sun, such as Florida or Texas, then you also need to be extra careful with your skin.

2. Not taking care of your skin will lead to the development of wrinkles

No matter who you are, you will age. And as you grow older and older, your skin will also grow older. As you continue to age, your skin will become thinner and thinner. This means that your skin will be damaged more easily. Also, you will develop wrinkles more easily because your skin is so thin. In addition to your skin growing thinner, the sebaceous glands in your skin, which are the glands that produce oil, gradually stop producing oil. This cut down in oil production means that your skin generally dries out, because it is no longer being hydrated by the naturally produced oil in one's skin.

Skin becomes more easily damaged and more susceptible to wrinkles. As your skin becomes less and less elastic, and as more wrinkles develop, you will develop more wrinkles and more facial lines around your eyes, around your nose, and around your forehead.

3. What can you do to protect your skin?

There are a number of steps that you can take in order to protect your skin. You should always protect yourself from the sun. You should always wear protective clothing that covers your skin from the sun. Avoid being outside as much as possible when the sun is at its strongest, from 10 am to 4 pm. Also wear a hat with a brim that will shade your face from the sun. In addition, be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and to reapply it every two hours or after you go swimming or sweat a lot. Quit smoking: it will drastically help improve the quality of your skin.
