Are weeds a problem in your yard
Many people have found that while they have high hopes for a lovely yard, it is overtaken with weeds, and they just do not know what to do. Pesky weeds can often turn into stubborn weeds that lead to the owners of the weed-infested yard giving up on it entirely. If weeds are a problem in your yard, then consider the following:

1. Invest some time. One of the best ways to get rid of the weeds in your yard is to pull them by hand. Of course, this is going to take a long time, and make you hate the weeds even more, but if you get them out by the roots, then you won't have to worry about them again.
2. Mulch. Mulch is going to do two things for you. One, mulch is going to prevent weeds from growing in the first place, because it is going to help hold water into your garden's soil, and while doing so, it is going to keep weeds under control. Two, it is going to smother existing weeds. Obviously, it can smother your plants as well, so you won't want to cover them, just the weeds.
3. Spray them with vinegar, alcohol, or soapy water. There are a number of things you can create at home to help eliminate the weeds in your yard, no matter how hardy or overwhelming they are. One of the home remedies for weeds is to mix about five tablespoons of dish soap with hot water and put it in a spray bottle. Then spray those weeds on a hot day. You can take four cups of water up to five tablespoons of alcohol and once again put it in a spray bottle and get out there and spray those stubborn weeds. Vinegar that is not diluted is also a great weed killer. However, it can also kill plants, so make sure you do not spray them.
4. Weed killer chemicals: If you do not want to go for the home remedy version of weed killers, you can use a commercial chemical weed killer. These can be nice because they are used to kill weeds, and can be sprayed anywhere, as they are designed to not kill grass. Some of the most popular weed killers include Roundup and Ortho Weed-B-Gon. They are effective and kill the roots as well as the top growth, which means that once it is dead, it won't grow back. The products also often contain a pre-emergent killer so that they kill the next round of weeds as well and can keep you weed-free for several months. You may have to spray a few times, but it tends to be effective.
5. Hire a professional. Of course, one of your other options for dealing with a weed problem in your yard is to hire a professional company to come out and spray, or a landscaper to come out and dig them all out for you.
