Every time Microsoft produces a new version of Windows it is just a little bigger and a little better than the last version. This time it is a lot bigger and a lot better. The five years it took for them to come up with this version of Windows definitely seem to have been productive ones. The last version that was produced was Windows XP. Windows Vista took the spotlight on November 8, 2006 at the completion of its development. Here are a couple of the new features:

If the new Windows is not better than the other versions in anything else, it is definitely much more pleasing to the eye. The new looks take graphic design to new heights. They are beautiful. This new look is called Windows Aero. For one thing, the program is more animated. It also has transparencies. When new windows are opened they are transparent so that you can see through to the one behind it. It is also programmed with a new font. Or if you like the old looks, you have the option of using their standard look which is the same thing as Aero only it is not transparent and does not look so glassy. After standard there is the option called Basic. Basic is a lot more like Windows XP, it just has some of the Aero combined with it. After basic there comes Classic. Classic is more like the Windows 2000 style. So if you want the program without the looks, you can choose from any of the old designs.
