Cleaning the grease from under your BBQ grill
Most people use a wire brush to scrub the excess food, and residue off their BBQ grill after each use, but sometimes they do not remember the grease that ends up on the ground under the BBQ. Most BBQ grills have a cup of some kind that catches the grease that drips off the meat as it cooks, but if your grease catcher overfills, and you do not empty it, you may have a mess to deal with under your grill.

Wear safety gloves. The first thing to remember when cleaning the grease from under your BBQ is that the solution used to clean the grease up off the pavement or cement is often harsh, and can hurt your skin. So, wear some rubber gloves so that you do not damage your skin in the process of cleaning up your grill mess.
Add a cup of ammonia to a bowl, along with a cup of powdered dish soap, as well as hot water. This solution is a good way to cut through the grease under your BBQ grill. About two gallons of hot water with the above-mentioned quantities of dish soap and ammonia will do the trick. It should be plenty of solution to clean the entire grill, as well as the area under the grill.
Pour the solution on some of the grease under your BBQ. If the grease has splattered, or you have moved the grill, or it has accumulated great amounts, you will want to use a lager amount of solution. So, pour it on, making sure you have covered the entire area that is covered in grease. The solution will not harm the cement, so you do not have to worry about that.
Let the solution sit for up to 3 hours. Because you have been accumulating grease, and you probably did not clean it right after it happened, you want to let it have some time to be cleaned. It might take a few hours of time for the solution to do its job, and break down the grease on the cement. Let it sit. Find something else to do for a few hours.
Scrub with a brush. After it has sat for a few hours, you can take a wire brush, and scrub it up. It may not take much work to scrub the grease off the cement, or you may want to apply more of the solution and wait a while longer until it is not too difficult to scrub up.
Spray down the area to wash it clean. Once you have scrubbed all of the grease off the ground under your BBQ, you are going tow ant to take a hose and simply rinse it off. Don't get it on your lawn, as it will kill the grass.
