Deep cleaning tips and tricks

Deep cleaning your home requires a lot of time and can be frustrating. If you only do the deep cleaning once a year there is a lot of dust and grime build up. If you do some deep cleaning all the time then it may not be as stressful but still requires time. To help reduce some of the stress of deep cleaning let's look at some tips and tricks.

Carrying all your supplies with you will help. There are basic cleaners to use like the pros do. Notice how they don't carry around a cleaner for every surface? The basics would include a glass cleaner or multi-surface cleaner, a heavy duty degreasing cleaner, tile cleaner and powdered abrasive cleaner. The less you carry the best, this isn't a workout.

Another small tip is doing your deep cleaning all through the year. This tip will help you get things done more then once a year. Some examples are cleaning your refrigerator on grocery day, once a month clean all light fixtures or ceiling fans, moving furniture and appliances to clean underneath once a month. Make a list of deep cleaning chores and divide them up as to how they need to be done. Some of your chores may be weekly, monthly or bi-monthly. A little here and there makes yearly cleaning unnecessary or less time consuming.

Try to stay organized throughout the year. Everything you own should have a home of its own. This way everyone knows where to put things once they have used them. De-clutter your home room by room. This can be done on a weekly basis. If you haven't used or worn something in 6 months get rid of it. This will give you less things to deep clean.

When you are deep cleaning you may come across some situations that need extra attention. Here is a list of some of those things and tips on how to take care of them:
