Flower arrangements can either be simple small or large with a multitude of different flowers. Find and create the proper size for the room you are going to place the flower arrangement in. You will need to select the flowers you want to use for your arrangement, a green foam ball, a metal bowl, dish or vase and preservative for fresh flowers. Start the arrangement by making sure the bowl, dish or vase you are going to use is clean. Soak the green foam ball in cool water and allow the ball to float until it is submerged half way into the water. Remove the foam ball from the water and let the foam drain naturally. Do not push on the foam ball; this will cause the ball to become disproportioned. Place the ball into the vase, bowl or dish you are going to use and fill the bowl up with water ¼ of the way. You are now ready to apply to flowers into the foam ball. Cut any pieces of the flowers and stems off that you do not want to use before you place them into the foam ball. Start in the center of the foam ball and work your way to the outside edges. Create a design all of your own.
