How do I attach pictures to email in Outlook Express?
Because of the great technology today a family member living and working in China can keep their family updated about their life with words as well as pictures. They can email actual pictures from their day-to-day activities to any member of their family so that their families can see what they are doing, not just read about it through letters or emails. This makes communication much more personal and understandable. Rather than reading about how great the great wall is and trying to picture it, you can see it for yourself. Rather than reading about your family member's friend and imagining what they look like and how they dress, you can see them for yourself.
This technology is really great and can be a lot of fun, not only for sharing between families, but also between friends and neighbors. For most email service providers it is not hard to figure out how to attach pictures to emails. Usually there is a button you can select that is located right next to the subject line of your email. It would say something such as "Attach a File." Some people choose to link their email to Outlook Express. Outlook Express can be a great email tool. Some people have a problem though when it comes to attaching files to emails in Outlook Express. The instructions are not as clear as they are for other email providers. So, let's take a look:

First: Be sure to take lots of pictures! If you want to send some great pictures to people, the first thing you will want to do is be sure to take some great pictures to send them. With cameras these days you can take as many pictures as you want and then just delete the pictures that you do not like. So start taking a lot of pictures of different things you do. Take pictures of things that you would enjoy sending to people.
Second: Download the pictures onto your computer. After you have taken lots of pictures you will want to put them onto your computer. For a lot of cameras a cord will come with the camera that allows it to be plugged into the computer. This is probably a USB cable. It will connect from your camera to your computer and send your pictures from the one to the other. If you do not like this say for some reason, you can by a memory card reader that plugs into your computer. This will allow you to take the memory card out of your camera and by placing into the reader, be able to download all your pictures, just as with the USB cable.
Third: After your pictures are downloaded you will want to save them in your "My Pictures" folder. Besides saving them in this folder you will probably want to save them to a disc or something as well for backup incase something were to happen to your computer. It would be a real bummer if you did not have a backup and you lost all your pictures when your computer crashed.
Fourth: Open up Outlook Express. Once Outlook Express has been opened you will want to press the "Create Mail" button. It should bring up a new window with your blank message in it. After you get to this window and fill in the email of the person you are sending it to you will want to look at the menu bar. From the menu bar click on "Inserts." Under this menu you will see the option "File Attachment."
Fifth: After you click on "File Attachment" button your computer should automatically bring up your menu that displays all your different folders. Click on the "My Pictures" folder and it should display all the pictures you have saved in that folder. Simply select the pictures you want to attach and they will attach to your email.
